He'd be cup-tied for the Champions League until next season anyway so Chelsea don't even have that advantage. We can offer United more money, Rooney more money, and at least equal future prospects. Besides he won't have to move out of the north. Besides don't think Coleen will be keen on him joining up with Terry and Cole

Failing that, Madrid or Barca, but Barca are skint and Real are claiming they don't want him. I think Mourinho wants in at United when Ferguson goes, so i doubt he'll try and upset the applecart, especially when they have no need for him.

Rumour has it City for Rooney then Utd making a bid for Torres !

Thats a right pickle is that !! Would never think Rooney would play for City and neither Torres for Utd, but footy's a funny old game !

If Rooney doesnt go in the January transfer window he can leave for 5m in the summer transfer window due to some FIFA loophole, now that would be a cheap player for any top side, and a huge kick in the teeth for Utd !!

It's nailed on imo. Still not sure what i think of it. What's your opinion on it mate? I'm still a bit shocked. Fully expected today's press conference to completely dismiss all the media stories this week.

Doesn't matter if Fergie wants to sell him to them or not, he has to or he WILL go for nothing in 18 months time. Plus, he famously said he wouldn't sell Real Madrid a virus. Six months later Ronaldo was there.

It's all very surreal mate. Only a couple of months ago he was saying how he wanted to stay at the club for life etc etc. Not totally surprised though. I reckon someone has had a word in his ear from city promising him £250k a week which, let's all be honest, no one is going to turn down. United are still £500m in debt and we knew this would happen - as we saw with Tevez being let go, Ronaldo being sold and us bringing in Michael Owen. United are in a world of shit financially and this is why this isn't wholly suprising to be honest. Selling Rooney will pay off the £40m interest we are charged every year thanks to those c*nts, the Glazers.

He'll definitely end up at City. Chelsea can't afford his wages anymore (those days have gone) and Colleen's sister is very sick so it makes sense for him to stay in the area. As much as I hate it, City will be THE dominant side in English football and with all this money being thrown around, they can get anyone they want.

The only thing that has angered me is the fact he has shown the club any respect. Like Ferguson said, the club has helped him through troubles in the past and this is how he repays us. Then again, he showed no loyalty to Everton, his boyhood club, nor to his wife - so he sure as shit ain't gonna he showing any to Manchester United.

Just my 5 pence worth anyway.

Be interesting to see how certain players at City behave if and when he signs for you. Can't see how you can accomodate Tevez/Rooney/Ballotelli all in the same front line.

You're amassing a pretty amazing squad, I gotta be honest. Only a matter of time before you bitter bastards win the Premier League.

Well i reckon Adebayor and Santa Cruz will be off so that'll leave Tevez, Balotelli and possibly Rooney as forwards. Balotelli can also play right hand side so he'll get games. We have Jo aswell, but i reckon he'll stay as a back-up player. So we'd have 4 strikers.

To be honest mate, i couldn't have dreamt about this 3 or 4 years ago. We are very lucky to have such great owners. I still can't get my head around it to be honest.

I think we can win the league maybe next season. It'll probably be a combination of Chelsea/United declining slightly, and us improving slightly, but i think it will happen at some point. Not this season though. Playing nowhere near well enough.

Agree totally (can't believe I'm saying that to a Citeh fan).

Chelsea will win it this season - next season will be your year once all the players have gelled.

I still think he'll end up signing for Utd, ages until the window and he'll be desperate to play games and once he hits form, he'll love it all again.

If I was gonna leave, I'd head abroad, Real or similar. Better lifestyle and loads more cash.

Next year will be too soon for City imo

    2012 League champions = City

If they keep their owners they may well become unstoppable and dominate for years to come.

This year's league table will be..

    Chelsea
    Arsenal
    City
    United
    Spurs
    Villa
    Everton

Yeah i think that's a pretty good post. I can only echo what you've said. He's acted like a grade A cunt.

Next year will be too soon for City imo

    2012 League champions = City

If they keep their owners they may well become unstoppable and dominate for years to come.

This year's league table will be..

    Chelsea
    Arsenal
    City
    United
    Spurs
    Villa
    Everton
He's spent £1 billion on buying the all the land around the stadium...literally shit loads of it. He's here for the long haul
