Super Middleweight also acknowledge as Kessler's Kingdom when Calzaghe has retire
I agree good fight for Kessler if he shines in this fight could open alot of doors, but on the other hand Johnson is not seen as a marquee fighter and possibly Kessler could look a million dollers and be then be avoided by the other top boys in and around 170.
It's a fight that makes sense between two guys struggling to find suitable opponents. Would be a war as well. At 170 I'd favour Kess.
Yes.. good fight for Kessler. Johnson is certainly a big enough name for the hardcores.
Even though Kessler will win a clear-ish points decision expect a hundred "Johnson was robbed" threads.
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
You must have thought Dawson clearly beat Johnson?
I thought Johnson was going to fight Diaconu. Anyway, good fight for Kessler and the kind of fight he needs to break into the US. If he looks good beating Johnson, when Dawson looked poorly doing so, Kessler will deserve credit.
That website is weird. Does it translate automatically into English or something?
I hope this fight comes off. It SHOULD silence some of Kessler's critics, but more than likely people will talk about Johnson being old.
Oops
Awesome fight as far as I am concerned. We will see what Kessler has and I believe alot. Then again I do think Johnson beat Dawson and has been the most overlooked lightheavyweight of recent years. He has an iron jaw and he is a hard worker something that no one wants to face. I give alot of credit to Kessler for taking this fight.
Should be a good match probably closely contested. Definately a good measuring stick to see where Dawson's skills are in comparison to Kessler's.
Look forward to this one a lot. Johnson is definately one guy who has never ducked anyone.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
This one would be a 12 round battle, and I'm certain it would be going to points, because they've both got solid chins and the stamina to go at it for 12. I think it'd be a fantastic fight, Kessler as the younger man maybe edging it. If Johnson wins, it would line him up for a last hurrah at a world title shot.
Hope it comes off and I'd look forward to seeing it happen, though according to boxrec Johnson needs to get by Daniel Judah first.

I think Johnson will win this fight. Calzaghe gave him angles he couldn't measure, and I expect Johnson to do the same thing. This one is going the distance.
Good luck in looking for an "old" Johnson showing up. He did his best work in the later rounds against Dawson. He may have lost that fight, but not by that wide a margin.
What a warrior he is!

I think it's the fact that he is really good at everything but he doesn't have that one thing he is phenomenal at like the fundamentals of Kessler, the speed of Calzaghe and Dawson, the mastery of how to fight dirty like Hopkins, the strength of Mendoza. Furthermore I think if he was quicker to adapt to those things he would have clear victories. I will admit he is one of my favorite fighters, strictly for the fact that he fights anyone and everyone and once the bell rings he is there to fight not just pick up a paycheck, can't really ask for anything else from a fighter IMO.

I hope Kessler comes back to 168 win, lose or draw. He has business at 168, leave 175 until you TRY and prove your the best at 168.
