You must have thought Dawson clearly beat Johnson?

I thought Johnson was going to fight Diaconu. Anyway, good fight for Kessler and the kind of fight he needs to break into the US. If he looks good beating Johnson, when Dawson looked poorly doing so, Kessler will deserve credit.

No it was a close fight.

But every fight Johnson has ever lost has been a robbery

He can't lose CLOSE fights you see.

Amen to that Aside from his loss to Hopkins everyone of his losses have been close at least. It does show he can be competitive with just about anyone.

I think Johnson will win this fight. Calzaghe gave him angles he couldn't measure, and I expect Johnson to do the same thing. This one is going the distance.

Good luck in looking for an "old" Johnson showing up. He did his best work in the later rounds against Dawson. He may have lost that fight, but not by that wide a margin.

    What a warrior he is!

Yeah i agree.. he will give anyone a tough, competitive fight. But the problem with Johnson is that he never dominates anyone - hence close fights.

He is good, not exceptional. The type of fighter it's fashionable for a hardcore to like.

I think it's the fact that he is really good at everything but he doesn't have that one thing he is phenomenal at like the fundamentals of Kessler, the speed of Calzaghe and Dawson, the mastery of how to fight dirty like Hopkins, the strength of Mendoza. Furthermore I think if he was quicker to adapt to those things he would have clear victories. I will admit he is one of my favorite fighters, strictly for the fact that he fights anyone and everyone and once the bell rings he is there to fight not just pick up a paycheck, can't really ask for anything else from a fighter IMO.

I hope Kessler comes back to 168 win, lose or draw. He has business at 168, leave 175 until you TRY and prove your the best at 168.

....great fight. Hey first time you get robbed i say wow, second time i say hhmmm, third fourth and fifth then you need to change something you're doing in the ring, if johnson doesn't then he looses another decision as usual.

Interesting matchup. Good for both men. I think Kessler might win a close decision, but Glen is always game and I wouldnt be surprised if he roughed his way to a decision either. I assume Glen would be the underdog as usual but a very, very live dog. Hope they both make a good account of themselves as I suspect they will.

I think this could be a terrible fight for Kessler. This is kind of like Cotto fighting Margarito, except Johnson has way better skills and lot more speed than Tony, but less power. He will put Kessler in a phone booth, where I am not sure Kessler will be able to deal with his pressure, I mean he throws as many punches as Calzaghe, but he is also exerting physical pressure on you with his body, and he is smothering your shots by being in so close. Not only that but he does terrific body work and his handspeed is not to be underestimated. As a huge Kessler fan, I am honestly worried for him, and I hope he pulls this off so that he and Chad can face off.
