It does if you get the shot just right
Thats what im saying its a bit ridiculous the amount of punishment the boxers take in games, i mean if Mike Tyson catches you coming in with a counter shot. Your going down end of it would make it more exciting and dramatic that way.
I went round my cousin's house last week i haven't got UFC 2009 i played it as his house. And he was beating the crap out of me, and i landed a left hook as he was going for a kick and he was out just like that. And it was sudden and shocking just like a real fight would be, i think thats one major thing missing in the fight night games.
This is probably my fiftieth post on such matters over the years - since Knockout Kings 2001 the one punch knockout has been missing from the Figh Night games. Why ? I am hoping like hell its back on the latest when its released.
Nothing more annoying than havong to get the guys health bar lower and lower and knowing that he won't stay down till about the 4th knockdown.
Thats not realism.

That CAN happen in the game, although it depends on the chin, head toughness & power rating of the boxers. So it does happen in the game that way. It's hard to judge on a demo which isn't the final version, but I know of people who've done it on the demo with two fairly good fighters so I'm sure it is possible, and I'd be disappointed if it happened all the time as most KO's in boxing come from continuous punishment
Its such a hard thing to do cause its got to have at least a bit of randomness to it, guess you could say the same thing about one shot KO's in boxing. And like Jaz said it shouldn't be overdone.
The UFC game should have more one shot KO's as with the small gloves there are more one shot KO's.
The Knockout Kings thing seemed totally random to me but I still kind of liked it. I KO'd somebody with the first punch of a fight once.
I'm trying to remember if it was a KO or just a KD. Anyway it was pretty crazy.
I agree one punch KO's shouldn't happen that often, because most of time it is a sustained beating in boxing. But it still would be a nice addition, but it should happen when you catch someone coming in or ETC. Atleast some skill to get the one punch KO, not just throwing haymaker after haymaker until you finally catch the opponent.
I don't really remember getting KO's in KO Kings much because i was a bit too young, but i remember in the first fight night game, i got quite a few one punch knockdowns. I think they should add that aswell flash knockdowns.
u still can have 1 punch kos. i did one on the demo with Hatton.
I think it'd be great if you said up a finisher, rather than a kayo being a culmination of some mystery factors. Otherwise, it might seem like a fluke.
If you hear a voice within you saying that I am not a painter, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.

Iould get them in FNR2... not in the early rounds though... my mate was a right tricky bastard with his clinching... shit at the rest of the game though! I'd beat the crap out of him but some times I'd only be sucsesfull in the knock out mode in the later rounds... sometimes it only took one knock down and he couldn't get up.
FNR4 does have 1 punch KO's. You have to time it right, just like in real life. It was in the 2nd round for me Pacquiao threw a right hook he missed I came over the top with a left hook and Pacquiao just fell like a ton of bricks and he was done. So I would say FNR4 does have one punch KO's.
I remember in Fight Night 2004 i could get flash knockouts. Parry and then uppercut and its good night![]()
