Default Erdei almost 20 pounds lighter than Fragomeni

Giacobbe Fragomeni 195.8 vs. Zsolt Erdei 178.8

honestly , I still think he'll win but wouldn't he be better off at lightheavy. 4 pounds doesn't seen too hard to shed in his case. And he wouldn't stand a chance against the bigger and better guys, -- Adamek, Cunningham or Wlodarczyk

Wow, that's crazy. Fortunately, Fragomeni isn't exactly a power puncher.
I certainly would have thought that Erdei had a few more pounds that he could gain. Maybe he's planning on being more mobile.

Can someone explaain why Erdei would move up to Cruiserweight when he is still weighing around 175 for the fight if there is Chad Dawson, Mikkel Kessler (or the winner of the super six) out there at light heavyweight? Unless he wants to fight Ademak?

Oh wait, I know, it is because Erdei doesn't fight tough competition.

His plan would always be to box to a decision. Like you say Fragomeni isn't that big a puncher, although I'd love it if he did stop him because I've always liked Fragomeni & I always wanted to see Sven Ottke... I mean Zsolt Erdei beaten so he has to take on tougher comp, because actually he does have the talent.

Kessler is a Super Middle with contractual obligations until the close of the tournament.

Chad Dawson, not much of a risk/reward factor as it is almost a guarantee he would lose. Yep, you are correct in the assumption that will sit on his zero loss record and make tons of Euros fighting journeymen in Germany, it sucks, but can you really fault him?

I would like to see him fight Saddo's own Yusaf Mack.

Just three pounds over 175 I thought he would come in at about 185 which was probably his fighting weight when he entered the ring at light heavy. He needs speed to beat Fragomeni so I guess the lighter weight will help him.

Fragomeni isn't a gimme fight for Erdei. For what it's worth he gave David Haye a tough fight, beat Rudolf Kraj and had a competitive draw with Wlodarczyk. Seeing how Hugo Garay's pressure gave him a bit of trouble I wouldn't count Fragomeni out.

The winner of this bout has to face former champ Wlodarczyk who split two fights with Cunningham.

Universum wanted a german being champ at light heavy so they moved Erdei to cruiser. Brähmer is now real world champion and Universum is happy. Erdei is not!

I think Fragomeni will win this. 20lbs is a lot to give away and Fragomeni although not the most technically gifted is a tough bastard and can put some decents punches together. Also he has only been beaten once can't remember who to though

The fact that he's the best part of 20 pounds below the limit means he obviously hasn't to boil down to 178.8... if he walked around heavier he just wouldn't boil down.

If he walks around at 180ish you'd think he'd be a light heavy were there's more money...

I thought these kind of weight differences were designated to the heavyweights only, but Erdei must be very confident to come in so much lighter than Fragomeni.

As has been mentioned before, Fragomeni's always as tough as seasoned leather, and being so much bigger will certainly trouble Erdei, whether it is the bite behind the punches or the weight in the clinches.

If Frag can close the distance and pin Erdei down, he'll take the win I think.

Erdei will box circles around Fragomeni... Clear cut UD.

You think Erdei actually fights Wlodarczyk or Cunningham?
