Pacquiao beating Hatton...I just don't see it

Maybe Pac fans can help me out but I don't really see how Pac is so heavily favored in this fight. There have been numerous threads about how Pac is going to destroy Hatton and give him his worst beating ever. I don't see how that is going to happen at all. I can't even see Pacquiao winning the fight. Hatton at 140 is a fucking monster. Pacquiao has the definite edge on handspeed but that's it IMO. What is heavily underrated about Hatton is his insane footspeed and footwork. His technique and quickness is how he's able to always be on you and mugging the shit out of you. Manny WILL NOT be able to sidestep Hatton like he did ODLH, he WILL NOT. Hatton is just as fast as Manny on his feet. The only reason that Hatton even lost to Floyd was because Floyd was able to frustrate Hatton with defense and Floyd used his "size" to bully Hatton when he got tired. Then Floyd just timed Hatton and caught him. Manny will not be able to do anything like that. Hatton won't try to box with him, Hatton will mug him, and I don't think Manny's ever seen that type of pressure. I just don't see how Manny will keep Hatton off of him and I see Hatton punishing Manny on the ropes. Quite honestly, I like Manny, but if Hatton trains properly and looks he has in the past, I really think Manny will get stopped. Can someone please tell me why they think Manny is such a favorite in this fight? Outside of saying something like "because he's P4P #1". Tell me how you envision Manny winning the fight.

I think it will be a tough fight, fighting Hatton for anyone is a tall order, but IMO there are ways for Pacquiao to win, if he can stay off the ropes or clinch I think Hatton will have a rough time getting off, and Hatton will be wide open for the left cross as he comes in, or the right hook.

Paulie is a joke. Pac doesn't fight like him. The only thing they have in common is they both have tough chin. Pac is 2x faster than Paulie, and a lot smarter than him too. Believe me when I say Hatton will get frustrated from Pac's constant head movement, in and out, lateral footwork, and the southpaw style. He'll spin Hatton around all night and will catch him with the left bomb. Monzon primarily used his boxing skill, not mainly his strenght that made him a great fighter.

MAB also had many fights but gave Pac a forum to launch his star status! I just want to see how Pac will fare against a harder puncher than himself and having to fight backwards .... Neither Cotto, Mayweather or Marquez has the 1 punch KO ability to alter Pac's aggression. All are already accomplished boxers and have tasted defeat. So there is not genuine hunger and neither can manufacturer the mass of endorphines that Ortiz would bring into the fight. Seems like a Pac in his younger days situation.

Nice try Taeth but when Pac was offered his opportunity rankings were taken into consideration. If that moment were today Pac may have never received an opportunity. Pac did not deserve the right to fight MAB at that time any more than Ortiz does within 1 year (providing Ortiz does not lose).

Taeth that's very gracious of you to admit that our Ricky, the undisputed Ring champ at 140, unbeaten at the weight, who defeated Kosta Tyszu, went up to win another title at 147 and after losing to the world's best fighter went back down and regained his title and undisputed claim to being THE man in that weight class is likely to be almost as dangerous as a decent prospect fighter like Victor Ortiz

I agree with a lot of that. I think Manny has bitten off more than he can chew in choosing to fight Hatton. Hatton seems to be in the right place mentally and has a point to prove after the Mayweather experience. I can see Manny getting really busted up in there.

Before PAc defeated De la Hoya, I can't also understand how would PAcquaio beat HAtton. I just can't imagine how Pacquaio would win over Hatton. I even predicted before that Hatton would KO Pac early. After watching pac's performance against De La Hoya ( no matter how old or drained he might be as some would say), I guess PAc would win against Hatton with his speed and knife-like punches.

Maybe I can Help you. I have predicted exactly what Pac has done so far. If you don't see Pac Beating Hatton, maybe you're not looking enough.

-1st, Hatton has Problems with Lefty, look at the Collazo fight.

-Hatton is Hittable, look at the Collazo & Lazcano fight and of course the PBF fight.

-Hatton was Koed by Floyd. Floyd can't KO Oscar & Just won by SD. Pac TKO DLH in a Dominating performance. Where does Hatton rank in the food chain Bottom, right?

-Hatton's Trex Arms will not be effective against Pac, it's just too short to reach Pac. Pac will Pepper hatton with jab, straight left. If hatton slip some of those there's still Pac's right hook & Uppercuts to deal with.

-Hatton has Body shot KO Power. But when does Pac has problems with body shot? Eons ago where Pac was the skinny guy & not even trained by Roach yet. AT recent times MAB was the best Body puncher that Pac fought, I barely remember anything landed on Pac.

-On this fight, Pac will dictate offence. Hatton will be on the defensive most of the time, He'll busy taking punches than throwing one.
