Do you spit in the street

This past week I must have noticed about a dozen blokes spitting on the pavement, many just out of my window as they walk past my house.

Bearing in mind all of these encounters lasted only a few seconds, and it seems like half of all men spat in that time you could fairly assume that they must spit every few seconds

Anyway, I myself never spit, I'm also not a hardcore football fan, maybe there is a connection?

So what about you guys, are you spitters?

PS, I entirely trust Miles will agree with me regarding this most ungentlemanly of man acts. It is filth.

Not in public but i do lob the odd one when no ones looking. work in stone dust and you would too. Tissues are the go blow nose spit one out at the same time.

Yep Bilbo knows where I stand on this. Spitting in the street is a filthy habit. Spitting in the street is something I only ever really began to notice when I moved out here. Korean man contantly spit everywhere. Honestly, I don't think I have walked anywhere without encountering at least a dozen different men all spitting violently to the ground. I've even seen women do it and elderly women too. They just hawk it up and spit it right out. Absolutely vile.
The funny thing is that if you have a cold and blow your nose, you are then the one accused of having a dirty habit. I regard a lot of Koreans as farmers in suits. The peasant habits just refuse to go away.

Of course, I never spit in the street and have no desire to. I just don't see the point, though Andre does make a point that you might need to if breathing in lots of dust and shit. I don't really recall all that many people spitting in the street in the UK, but judging by the number of fatherless inbreds that have grown since I have been away, I am sure the numbers are now quite fearful.

Oddly enough, or maybe not so oddly, when I used to be a heavy drug user I would spit all the time, regardless of who was around, and so did all my druggie buddies. I remember having a conversation about it with one of them once. Nowadays, I almost never spit in public, though if it is a dire situation and no one is around then I will if I have to. I probably should have voted for that instead of the "not a chav" option.

I think it's f'n off.... I think 99% of spitters, as you kind of hinted at, just do it all the time... Like out of habit because at one stage of their life they thought they were cool for doing it but never grew up...

I can probably count on both hands the amount of times i've spat in public, and they have all been because i've done a big sniff, and some seriously grose chunky sh!t has ended up in the back of my mouth... That is probably the most disgusting of all spitting that you see, but it's probably the only essential one...
Most greenie's you can swallow without any fuss... And there is just no excuse for spitting when you have excess saliva... You swallow it you tossers..

When I see young people (16 to 21) and they are spitting, i'm getting ever closer to grabbing one and pushing his face into the spit and asking him to lick it up... It's a filthy habbit and no one wants to stand in something that came out of someone elses mouth or nose...
