    Default Khan scared of prescott?

    He must avenge this loss.
Khan has great speed, movement and great boxing skills.
But that loss was devastating. Im sure he will fair better this time but i cant see him getting a rematch as the risk is too great for top rank and mr.bribe/cheat bob arum.

I'm no particular fan of Kahn, but I no longer think he has anything of import to avenge. Prescott hasn't kept up in terms of accomplishment and Kahn has stayed in there with another big banger in Maidana.

Kahn has, in my view, responded exceedingly well to that loss. He renewed his commitment to the sport, he has worked to become technically far more proficient and he is fighting important and risky fights. I have no complaints.

Emil Griffith never "avenged" his KO1 loss to Hurricane Carter
Manny P never "avenged" his KO loss to Rusty Torrecampo
Alexis Arguello never "avenged" his KO loss to Omar Amaya

Those three all have exceedingly strong legacies. I can come up with dozens of others.

Now I think it'd be different if Prescott was now thriving against top competition the way Kahn is. But he isn't. It is up to him to earn that fight in my view.

Been discussed many times. Khan's left it long enough now to the point where it probably is relatively meaningless in terms of a sell - though it would have sold better than Mcclosckey fight.

Prescott needs a big win to get him back in with a shout.

But yes I think Khan's a bit hesitant about him for sure.

Yeah I think marble's post sums this one up. It just doesn't really have a lot of appeal as a fight right now. If Khan still had demons about Prescott there's no way they would have taken the Maidana fight, considering what Prescott has done since stopping Khan there's no way he would've posed a bigger risk even with the fact that he won by KO. Bottom line though is Khan is a very talented fighter with a bad chin. If he's going to get knocked out again it should at least be on the level he has proved himself worthy of.

I fail to see why Khan would want to fight him , he is a bum , if he earns a shot im sure the media will demand a rematch. Until then Khan has to get on with his career.

I agree khan is a great talent and has done superb with his career after the loss and prescotts career has nosedived, but everyone is different. I just think he needs to do it to expel them demons.
Prescott has not got the support of bob arum and a great trainer behind him.
Amir should win the rematch but just because prescotts career after the win has not been impressive does not mean he still does not have the mental edge over khan and that is his golden ticket as he knows thats all he has left for one more chance to glory.

Prescott has to earn the right to fight Khan, just because he beat him does not give him automatic right to fight him. Prescott has lost twice whereas Khan has gone from strength to strength. Give Khan the reason to fight him and I am sure he will beat Prescott this time. I am sure Khan would want nothing more than to get revenge.

Khan shouldn't even have this on the radar until the end of his career, right now he just needs to make money and grab some more titles. Prescott's stock has been decimated since then and Khan has shown his worth.

Why? Con is one the who needs vengeance. Not Prescott. Yes it would of been nice if Prescott would of kept winning and not lost twice. But really his loses should be looked at closer. One was to Miguel Vazquez who has gone on to become champion and made 2 successful defenses. Vazquez 3 career loses have come at the hands of 2 elite fighters. Timothy Bradley and Saul Alvarez (2x). No shame in losing to them. And no shame in Prescott losing to him. Granted his other loss was to a scrub. But it was a fight in which he went in sick. And it showed. So really for Con to not fight Prescott cuz of his loses is pretty much just as cop out

I respect everyones views but prescott doesnt need to earn anything with khan. Khan is hoping prescott fades away and he never hears that name again. Prescott has and always will have khans number..but they will probably never fight again.

Nah, many great fighters have been drilled by one guy. Doesn't mean much over the long term. It just doesn't.

Those are great fighters though, you really think Amir Khan can achieve anywhere near what those fighter's did ?

Breidis Prescott has more explosive power than Marcos Maidana, and is taller which makes him more dangerous than Marcos Maidana style wise for Amir Khan.

I'd actually give him a ton of a credit for revenging that loss.

Prescott vs Maidana would be a great fight.
