    Default Training

Hi im 18 years old and just started being interested in boxing. Where im from there is no boxing gyms so i just have to train myself at home.

I want to know whats the best training method for me to do in order to be a good boxer and my left hand is weak so how can i improve that and is there any excercises that i should do that will help me become stronger . E.g press ups?

Well, best training? I doubt it exists, it is very individual, you know

Make sure you work on the technique and spar enough, if you want to be good fighter
Do not put too much attention on conditioning, diet, etc in the beginning

    Skill wins fights!

What is your weight roughly, I mean, in which you think to fight?
What is your reach relative to your opponents (long /short arms)?
    Body types - skinny-tall, or bulky-square?

If you are going to attempt to train yourself, the first thing I would advise is getting a copy of Edwin L Haislet's book. It is entitled either Boxing or On Boxing and it available on-line as a free download in several places. It was written in 1940 and is the best instructional book written on the subject. The overwhelming majority of the tutorials you will find on-line are absolute crap.
At this point, just starting out, your left hand will be awkward because it is uneducated. Making it stronger will not make it smarter, nor will lifting weights or running a thousand miles make you a better boxer. Learning, and mastering, technique will.
I would recommend watching Joe Louis. He throws every punch perfectly, his balance his always perfect, and his footwork is exactly as it should be. By that I mean that he doesn't waste any motion. Another fighter, a more recent boxer, is Ricardo Lopez. He is essentially a boxing textbook.

What I've learned is that, in boxing, you have to literally start from the ground up. Don't overwhelm yourself with information, take things one step at a time. Naturally, boxing is a sport where you tie in many different skills at once. The ultimate goal here is to make these fundamental skills instinctual and effortless.

I suggest among the first things you learn be footwork. Footwork is a general term for how to move in the ring. Without learning footwork first, you're setting yourself up for bad habits and techniques.

From there you pick up on learning the jab and right cross.

You can pretty much go in any direction from there, and you start become more self sufficient as you understand how everything ties together in boxing.

Here is a very concise video on the boxing stance. It's where I started. I wish the best for you, train hard and god speed!

No gyms, how about MMA gyms or kick boxing, they will teach you the basics.
    I would avoid Karate gyms.

Lots of places offer boxer-cise classes which is boxing training in a circuit.
You do one of those classes I am sure the instructor will help you with regards to punching and getting started.

Skipping and running needs no equipment.
    Same with shadow boxing.
Google body-weight exercises to find information on getting strong.
Doing army style training will get you in shape, sit-ups, running and press-ups.
You can get army fitness training schedules direct from their websites.

But it is best to get some 1-on-1 tuition, so you know if you are throwing the punches correctly.
