dirtiest fighter ever---just saw the Josesito Lopez fight. Now Im glad Mayweather belted him out like that.

Yeah he is a quitter, when things aren't going his way he tries to find a way out, I think he deserved every bit of what mayweather did, I see a lot of that in broner, that I think will be exposed as he steps up in competition, cuz I remember Ortiz being labled the next golden boy, till maidana cam around.
Now i grant you that he deserved the KO from mayweather for the headbutt that he did, but he fought with a broken jaw for a few rounds but then couldn't do it anymore.
Wouldn't really call that quitting, yes many boxers fought with broken jaws. The likes of Ali and Sweet Pete come to mind. However its hardly quitting if you can't continue since the one place your opponent tends to punch happens to be broken.
You're asking a fighter to put his future well being on the line and its already a dangerous enough sport. People have died in it, people get concussions, people commit suicide due to the sheer amount of brain damage they suffered. People can't control their bowls due to nerve damage and yet you brand him a quitter because he couldn't fight with a broken Jaw?
That's very cruel of you, it takes guts just to get into that ring, there are some boxers that I can't stand: David Haye, Adrian Broner, Chavez Jr. but even as much as I hate their personality I still will show them a decorum of respect for getting into that ring.
No i don't think he was a quitter in that fight. But I suppose we will disagree on this, which is fine.
Broner isn't Ortiz like for all his faults he loves boxing, a guy I think might be like Ortiz is Mikey Garcia, Garcia wanted to be a cop but his family saw his talent and pushed him in the family business look at the Salido fight he gave up cause of a broken nose. Ortiz doesn't love boxing he really does have talent he's an exciting fighter the Maidana, Lopez and Berto fights show the fights he can deliver, it's funny if he had Rios heart he'd be special and his only loss would be to Floyd.
I dont think you can blame Garcia for quitting (not even sure he quit, think the doctor called the fight) but fighting with a broke nose is really hard. You cant breath through your nose so your mouth is always open making your jaw week and a lot easier to break. Also as your mouth is open you can have a shit load of blood running into your mouth again affecting how you perform.
Ortiz definately deserved the Floyd KO.
But as a fan of boxing I hated to see it end like that.
It was only round 4 and it was a pretty good fight up until that point. Floyd was winning because he was touching Ortiz with straight rights but no significant blows by either fighter until the KO.
If it would have been a one sided fight it wouldnt have bothered me so bad.
And if boxing wasnt in the state it was in at that time due to the lack of the mega fight between Floyd and Pac it wouldnt have bothered me so bad (im blame Pac for this btw). This almost ruined boxing imo.
Had Ortiz connected with that head butt it would have been a mess for Floyd. Definitely something Ortiz should not have attempted. I still don't think it justified Floyd taking that shot. I think someone of Floyd's level didn't need to retaliate in such a fashion. I always liked Ortiz, he had his issues but he was fun to watch. I would still like to see him make a comeback but it is seeming less and less likely. It would have been nice to see Lopez fight Canelo had he beat Lopez
Turns out he does his best and most convincing dance moves when he is hit square on the chin.
Ortiz has now fought 2 times since 2011. Wow , a real barn burner schedule.
For the record I think Ortiz faked the knockdown looking for a disqualification.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Im a mild supporter of Victor Ortiz the fighter and it's not fair to knock on the Lopez fight. I actually think he showed heart in that fight.
Him retiring from a broken jaw does not qualify as a quit job and anybody who has had their jaw broken would understand this.
Ya expect a fighter to continue fighting with a broken fuckin jaw SMH ya serious? Boxers need to watch out for their own well being and future because nobody else will.
Why should Ortiz put his life on the line? Im not doctor but I do know that it's extremely dangerous to continue fighting with a broken jaw.
Fuck the fans and the couch potatoes whose never boxed in their motherfuckin lives talking all that bullshit..
