I just want to know, when will Floyd fight another black fighter again. Its like he is racist and only wants to fight Spanish fighters. wtf

He should at least fight Porter or Thurman.
He's going to fight the biggest money fight and Cotto is the biggest money fight.
Unless Alvarez can somehow offer Cotto similar cash.
Even if Cotto loses to Floyd again Alvarez is still a viable fight after a tuneup. If Cotto isn't contractually tied up you've got to figure Floyd and especially Showtime will want to make the rematch.

Cotto earned the right to do whatever the hell he wants. But I don't want Floyd or Pac vs Cotto. Alvarez is the fight that makes sense if he can get by Lara. But like I said Cotto can do whatever he chooses.
Cotto vs Alvarez is a very attractive fight. Hindsight is 20-20 but Martinez was mentioned and seriously considered for Alvarez, Floyd, Golovkin..etc by many.
For all intents and purposes Cotto has just gone fingers up to all of the above..and has earned it. Mayweather rematches a guy who he basically shut out...ok
Cotto v Floyd/Manny would be good on his terms. I hope he cashes out big, he took the chance the other two were unwilling to take. They should be his B side bitches.![]()
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
I thought Cotto was with Top Rank so I think we are safe from seeing it. But I think it would be 1 helluva rematch if it happens. Mayweather and Showtime have no big money options besides Cotto and Pac or retirement.
Now we have our first clash of this new era of promotion.
Cotto is still loosely attached with Arum.
Alvarez firmly with Oscar who has said he wants to work with Bob
Floyd is with Haymons harem who split with Oscar and hired his x partner who left under bad circumstances.
I think it will be Bob and Oscar doing lunch tomorrow.
I think that Cotto with Freddy in his corner would make an interesting challenge for Floyd, and I think that with how the first fight went, the money that will be made, and the historic implications for Floyd by winning the 160 lb lineal title, this fight makes the most sense for everyone. Floyd should be favored, no doubt, but I think Miguel has a realistic chance for the following reasons:
1. Floyd has lost a step at this point of his career (in my opinion)
2. Cotto and Roach "click" together and Cotto understands Roach's strategy/training style
3. Freddie has been preparing to face Floyd (with Manny) for years
4. Cotto seems to have a ton of confidence in himself and Freddie
5. Floyd will not be as "up" for the fight as Cotto will (revenge will be a big factor for Miguel)
6. Cotto's left hook and jab have improved under Roach and I think those punches will give Floyd significant issues
I don't want to give the impression that I think Cotto is unbeatable or that Floyd isn't great or will lose, I just think this will be a better match up at this point than it was when they fought last time.
Don't agree at all. Did Miadana and Khan die? Anytime Floyd fights, money is made.
I like Cotto, but this win over Martinez doesn't give him bragging rights, in my opinion. I like Martinez too, but without his legs he's nothing special, in the ring.
When it comes to Cotto, Floyd has been there and done that. Cotto had his moments in his fight with Floyd, but do you think Floyd is going to see Cotto's win over Martinez as spectacular?
Beating this Martinez is probably something Floyd's last three opponents could have done too.
Since when has Floyd shown a preference for anything except the top guys. That's where the money is!
