Cotto vs Alvarez is a very attractive fight. Hindsight is 20-20 but Martinez was mentioned and seriously considered for Alvarez, Floyd, Golovkin..etc by many.

I like Cotto, but this win over Martinez doesn't give him bragging rights, in my opinion. I like Martinez too, but without his legs he's nothing special, in the ring.

Martinez was never anything special.

He's been open for the shots Cotto had for him his entire career.

Kermit Cintron(one of the slowest fighters ever) was catching him clean and rocking him.

I will agree with u that Sergio was a little overrated. He was lucky to get the win over Pavilik. He struggled with some guys who to me where not world class. Martinez was awkward and gifted and he figured out a style to make him effective. I like Sergio and respect his heart in addition to his honor and warrior mentality.
