Haha. As soon as I saw his name it was one of those: "oh yeah! I forgot about him!" moments. He was inconsistent. From what I remember he was tough and could punch but was one of those inconsistent guys that would fight down to the level of competition. I need to look him up. Didn't he get ripped off vs someone?!?

Nate Campbell really beat him up, remember that was possibly one of the first fights I saw getting into boxing. Anyone see his last fight against DeMarco? Seems he didn't come out for the 9th, if that was another beating, then there's your answer lol. He wasn't a super young guy anyway, maybe he became an electrician or something.

If a boxer doesn't really have the potential to be world champion, and isn't a massive draw, why the hell wouldn't they retire, is always my thinking.

That was just my own thoughts, not knocking the thread dood :P Hard to blame a guy for deciding to do something else if he can't quite make it to the top of the sport and has made some money, it wasn't going to get any better for him. Seems he pretty much faltered in all of his toughest fights, not like he just disappeared.

thats what i remembered. he had all of this hype and campbell put a beating on him. i never really saw why there was any hype at all. he really did nothing to ever impress me.
