Floyd and Manny will never happen!

I am just coming to grips with that... it just won't happen. Let's all move on.

Manny will never get a chance to see if he can beat him, and Floyd will never be in the p4p best ever list at any given point and time. He will always be in the great fighters list, but never in discussion for best p4p ever.

But, not that the thrill of the fight is gone, but it's just not going to happen.

At least with Arum and King, fights got made- even when they hated each other's guts. But Haymon is not that kind of dude to let fans see the fights they want.

For whatever reason, Haymon has other interests in boxing other than fights.

This is where this is. And he couldn't give a damn if they ever fight, ever.

I disagree YK. I think the fight will still happen. I know its been going on for years but in the end I think there is just too many parties that could bring in too much money to let this go. Granted, by the time it happens both fighters will have slowed even more, it will not be what it once could have been but if we continue to pay and get excited for whoever these guys have been fighting lately it will still be a mega fight. Even if they both lose five fights in a row and then announce a match up both we pactards and my friends the Floyd nutthuggers will still be talking about this like its the greatest thing to happen to boxing even though its time will have come and gone. Probably a rematch or two as well. By that time I think Adrien Broner will be one of the card girls under the tutelage of Oscar, I bet he will look pretty hot.

To be fair, if the fight didn't happen before Floyd's mega fight deal with Showtime, it won't happen. There is no incentive for Floyd as he already has enough money PLUS he can make money without fighting Manny for easier money in this latter stage of his career.

if this fight happens, it'll still be 5 to 7 years too late. I think that chances that it happens are here, though very thin. The fight is still intriguing but... a couple of years too late.

I accepted the fight would not happen years ago. It is a shame for us fans and they both should be ashamed for never making it happen.

I would like to see Manny make one more impressive run and take out Garcia, Khan and then Maybe a Thurman/Brook type fighter who has won a couple of bigger fights. Hell, maybe even be crazy and jump to 160 for Cotto if he still has the title. Manny went on one of the more impressive runs in recent memory, and I think if he wins his last 3-4 fights and they r big ones like that, he comes out ahead of Floyd in terms of ATG standings. Better than going head to head and most likely losing to Dloyd at this point.

No one cares about this anymore as pac has signed a LONGER contract with bob arum and if he wanted to Fight floyd by going solo and earning more money he decided instead to duck floyd.

Any last chance of the fight happening is dead in the water because pac chose arum..but lets not talk about that irrelevant situation and just blame the nut huggers.

Roach has begged pac to go to 140 so he can fool the world by fighting an unknown and ko him out and the world goes crazy again!

It just wont happen.... Pac moved back down, and Floyd is typically not talking the fight up like he wants it. It's cognitive dissonance. It's over. If the fight isn't even in the discussion as a fight in the next two fights for Floyd, and in the near future the way Arum sees it, then it is officially over.

What a shame. All sides can agree, Floyd fans and Pac fans, that it is a shame. Disgrace. No amount of groupie love can cause you to deny that.
