I could live without shots right in the nose and square on top of the head. That one makes me taste blood momentarily (even though I'm not bleeding anywhere).
The rest I can live with.

Taking a hook to the back of the head isn't something I'd want to get caught with.
I've been hit with a hook to my thigh right below the protector and it felt like a freaking charlie horse.
I haven't been hit to the liver pr kidneys so I'm practically a virgin.
If you hear a voice within you saying that I am not a painter, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.
I never want to take another good liver shot, I still remember my first time for that one. Other than that what Von said, the nose because your eyes just start watering so your likely to get hit again and the top of the forehead because it snaps your head back leaving your chin straight in the air for a split second.
In my 3rd Amateur fight which was probably my toughest fight. I was caught on the back of the head, which dazed me i had never felt anything like that before. I also got caught with a liver shot which made me gasp for air literally, i still don't know how i managed to win that fight, because that liver shot was something else i can tell you.
I have a six pack and i work my abs mostly everyday. But i can tell you now no six pack or training can take away the damage a good liver shot does to you. And obviously a good shot right on the button because it makes your eyes water. A good shot on the top of the head makes me feel dizzy so i don't like getting hit there either.
body shots aren't fun. I've taken a couple that made me go "....eeeuuughhhhh..."
F'in round over. Take my gloves off. I'm too old for that shit.![]()
Body shots suck. That's why it's fun to throw them. The solar plexus, oh, love that one.
My least favorite is the point of the chin. Walked into a straight right one time from a heavy hitter; it almost drove my jaw bone back into my throat. I lost my sense of hearing momentarily. And for the next ten days I was cursing every time I bit into my breakfast.
It was a good learning experience.![]()
I sparred Keith Cresham an Irish Pro with a deceiving record last summer. He threw a right uppercut that went between my two arms and caught me just below the point of my chin. My head snapped backward and I saw the ceiling as I flew backward into the ropes.
I wasbn't knocked down but I did get pins and needles at the top of my neck.
Keith - gentleman that he is - moved in and initiated a clinch until I told him "good shot" and he knew I was OK.
Another was qagainst Sean ? can't remeber he last name from Boston. He winged a southpaw hook and caught mebetween my glove and my ear, above the jaw's hinge....Horrible feeling for a week afterward!

not as experienced as you guys but I could live without bridge of the nose love taps.
The only body shot I took that hurt was actually in muay thai from the trainer who was demonstrating on me. That thing sickened through the pad.Wouldn't like to take one of those clean.
That's ironic missy. The only cut I've ever had in boxing was from my trainer working mitts. He threw back (to drill in keeping my hands up high on the way back) and cut my forehead.
When I used to spar, I hated getting uppercut-ed. Most of the guys I sparred with were shorter than me and hadn't really understood the significance of body punching, but on the rare occasion they threw an uppercut, it hurt.
I've been hit by Jabs, Crosses, Left Hooks (those hurt too), Overhand Rights, and Right Uppercuts, and the Uppercut hurt the most for me. Haven't taken a hard body shot, but I'm sure it hurts much worse than an uppercut.
The shot I defenetly don't like taking is the shot to the good ol Family Jewels those things kill.![]()
Liver...hands down. This is going to make me seem like a big pussy, but here's my story. My girlfriend and I used to train together at a legit boxing gym. Before joining, she had been in a class with a really good instructor at a fitness gym. The gym was in transition, and a sometimes she and were the only people there working out. Obviously, we weren't going to free spar, but to work on my defense and have her work on her offense, we would do rounds where she would throw at me 100% and I would just have to defend or throw soft counters that would miss on purpose. In fact, if I though she was holding back, I would taunt her to throw for real. She has an amazing left hook. Everybody in the gym commented on it. There were a few teenage boys who were in her weight range and the coach was afraid to put her in the ring with them for fear of BOYS safety and the boys didn't want any part of sparring her.
Well you can see where this going. Normally, you can hit me in the gut with a 2x4 and I don't care, but eventually she slipped a full power shot dead on my liver. Just the right angle, coming up underneath the rib. It's the only time I have ever been hurt to the body sparring, including sparring HW's. I kept on going, but the pain wouldn't go away...for ever it seemed like. I've been hit flush on the jaw by Shane's Mosley's 300lb cousin, throwing about 60%. I've taken vicious shots to the noise that had me bleeding like a faucet. Non of them hurt as bad as my 135lb girlfriends hitting me with a perfect hook to the liver. It can't remember how long I felt it for, but it was at least a full day after, if not two. I can't image how bad it would be if you got hit that perfect by Ward or Hopkins.
Yeah, I'm a big pussy. I got beat up by my girlfriend.
Damn Donny, you have taken some mean hits! Nice to have forgiving sparring partners...
The liver shot I've never taken (yet). I gotta say it scares me.
