As well as he should, Edison is a good fighter and find competitor... Why would Taylor try to fight Sergio Mora or possibly Cory Spinks, when Edison Miranda is better and more deserving, not to mention chomping at the bit to fight Taylor

Wow never saw that coming. Hopkins giving that to Miranda something I never thought would come out of Hopkins mouth. Saying that I cant wait for a fight between Jermaine Taylor and Miranda. It should be a good one. I mean all these boxing matches seem to be getting a WWE storyline.

Miranda is definately a great middle/supermiddle champ in the making but to be the best he has to beat Taylor or Calzaghe and Kessler and obviously has to win a world title and how can Hopkins say he passes the torch to Miranda when Taylor took the torch off him

Hopkins is probably rooting for Miranda because he wants SOMEONE to take Taylor out. You couldn't have two fighters who are more dissimilar. Hopkins is defensive-oriented, Miranda is offensive. Miranda is sloppy, Hopkins is as clean as the edge of a sheet of paper. Miranda could very well beat Taylor, but Miranda is very figure-outable™ (don't touch, I just made that up) and he wouldn't have the belt long. For all the talk about Miranda's power, Taylor could very well be the stronger of the two. Miranda's lack of defense would certainly put his face to the test as Taylor swatted it over and over. I don't know, at this stage I wouldn't be in a rush to align myself with someone who isn't exactly proven. He's shown heart and strength and not much of anything else.

Yep, this is exactly it. This is just a case of a guy who wants to take an indirect shot at the guy who beat him and the guy he's fighting next. Nothing more.

I think a lot of people are getting extremely carried away in their praise of Miranda just because they find him exciting to watch. Miranda is a wild puncher, and nothing more at this point. Taylor would pick him apart and beat him rather handily in my opinion.
