    Default A Boxing Mantra

    My body looks magnificent
But every ounce of it is in pain
And I will wake up,and go back to training tommorrow

    I must win

I could make money an easy way
But there is no easy way for me
I will wake up and go back to training tommorrow

    I must win

    I will get old
    And past my prime
And I will still get up for training tommorrow

    I must win

    All for 12 segments
Cut up in to 3 minutes
For wich I have done this training for

    I WILL WIN

    Back at ya
Just something that was composing itself in my head today
Every single muscle ached from sparring, and the double end bad last night, but leg work was on the agenda

I guess I was trying to put the life of a boxer in to perspective for non-boxers
    I want to eat that
You cant you gotta make weight
I dont want to drink that
Tough, your carb to protein ratio is screwed up
Im sore I dont want to train today
You blow off one day, blowing off two is easy
All for the joy of risking having a thousand+ people seeing another guy potentialy taking your head off

Muhammad Ali's Mantra? "I am the greatest!"
If you hear a voice within you saying that I am not a painter, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.

This one is more up your alley monkey, but is more sound advice than a mantra.

When a task has just begun,
Do not stop until it's done,
If the labor is big or small,
Do it well or not at all.

That's what Archie Moore's mother told him, and it stuck with him on the glory road of boxing.

    Anyways CC Monkey.

Here's another one, this one I tell myself.

"A good plan today is better than a perfect plan tomorrow." Now it doesn't mean that I'm not going to strive to do better tomorrow, it means that I'm not going to put something off, or work any less because there is a tomorrow.

Just like Apollo Creed in Rocky III says, "There is no tomorrow!"
If you hear a voice within you saying that I am not a painter, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.

I haven't been really meticulous when it comes to counting ratio's, indexes and the whole carbs/protein bit. I have been trying to get enough protein in which does its part when it comes to diet and exercise.

I feel okay at my weight, it really gives you a new perspective when you see a guy on top of his game who hangs tough even though he feel he has a hole in his stomach.

    Youd think Id know better
Im completely anal about my fighters diets
But my head still thinks Im a fighter in my early 20's who can just bull my way through it,instead of a trainer in my late 30's going back in to the ring.
It wasnt until I got on to the scale and realised Id dropped too much weight too fast that I understood why I was cramping and slightly woozy all day
As soon as I dropped the protein,I felt mmmmmmmmmuuuuuuuucccccccchhhhhhhhh better,I actually feel pretty good now
Old dogs sometimes need to remember that their own new tricks apply to them to

Too much of anything isn't going to make you feel better. Live and learn is a good way to learn what makes your body tick. Nobodies the same but there's a lot of things in general that help can everyone.

Maintaining protein,is huge if your niggling at a weight range
I just learned that the hardest way possible
Soup is in my future, not alot of calories, lots of protein
I just pushed myself harder then I was feeding myself
When Id realised Id dropped 8 pounds in the last week,it all became pretty evident

One thing that I want to get to the bottom of his how much does my body really need. This would count carbs, proteins, nutrients, etc. You've probably found this out for yourself, that if you have have too much of anything you may tire quicker, and at the least you won't feel your best. I'd like to find out for myself what best fits me.

If your cramping youve usually screwed up in one of two areas
    Hydration
    Or Protein
Now Id been pounding Gatorade,so I SHOULD have known it was the other
    I just brain farted
Id been avoiding proteins because they lead to hard muscle mass, wich weighs alot, and I was worried about making weight
