    Default Few questions

    1. When fighting a orthodox fighter which way should u be going to left or to the right a trainer told me not to move to the right but when i moved to left i walked into a right hand?

    2. Slipping punches ok to drop the left hand a little when slipping the jab and countering with right hand?

    3. How to handle a pressure fighter that wont stay off you?

    1. Generally to your right so that he is over reaching with his right hand. That's very oversimplified though - you're going to have to move backwards, forwards, left, right, diagonally etc depending on the situation you are in.

    2. Depends which way you slip and the angle you've got. slip to the right? nope - his right hand his probably heading towards the opening you've left... and 9 times out of 10 it's gonna hurt more than your counter will! :P slipping to the left? if he doesn't have the angle to hit your left hand side then you should be ok... depends on ranges etc.

    3. confidence... get a nice strong jab going... keep him moving left and right - change direction so he can't plant his feet and throw a lot of shots... pop that jab out in his face and he can't open up on you. never move in a straight line or you'll get backed up.

If you hear a voice within you saying that I am not a painter, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.

That can work a treat if your left leg has come back under your left shoulder and you adjust your stance as you counter with the right over his jab.
IT seems to make them follow your movment bodily and go for your opening with their right hand staight away but with their feet still planted, but your going out of reach on that side and yet they are turning into your counter because of your dazzling footwork and new placment. :-)
