I realise that there is a thread dealing withnthis subject already, however, I felt the need to open this thread to say that I feel Malignaggi is talking himself up and in the process being disrespectful to Ricky.

In the article Malignaggi says the Ricky is Afraid of being hit, and as a resultant fights in the mauling style he does. I felt this was a reasonable opinion and I took it Ok, but then Paulie went on to say "whenever he's ready to step up to the plate..."

Is Hatton not the No.1 at LWW?, was Hatton's last opponent not 100 times better a fighter than Paulie will ever be?, Is Malignaggi in someway disillusioned into thinking Ricky is intimidated by his (non-existant) punching power?

I do like Paulie, however this interview in my opinion was rediculous and was just a demonstration of Paulie attempting to drum up publicity and make himself some money.

Not surprisingly Rees has been cleared of the unenviable task of being Hatton's next opponent. I felt he would have been undersized and underskilled to have made a good showing against Ricky.

Witter has also stepped up his search for a Hatton Clash, again claiming he's being avoided...http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/7137592.stm

On the De la Hoya front the Guardian also ran an article chronicling the return of Hatton and his fans and mentioned that De la Hoya wont wait around forever...
