I know it's an awful thing to say but I wanted to see just how bad Cotto could beat up Gomez. It was like watching a good horror movie and I didn't want it to end.

Was anyone else drawn into the slow punch by punch disfiguring of a man's face? It was more like a science experiment than a fight.

I wanted to see the same at first, but after about 1 round, I changed my mind, just like Cotto did, and was wanting it to get stopped sooner.

I don't want to see Floyd rematch Oscar or Hatton, but c'mon, those are way better fights, and fighters than Gomez. Quit hating.

I agree that he took it easy by not whitewashing him in 2 rounds and making him look like a child.

But by letting Gomez survive Cotto actually gave him a more severe beating than if he'd of just knocked Gomez out.

Rediculous... It was over after the first round... Since when did his father think he had a puncher's chance. When has Gomez been a puncher. Not in this lifetime.

So is Ray Robinson horrible for saying if he fought doyle he would kill him because he had a dream he killed him in the ring and then going into the ring and actually killing him? And saying "its OK he is gonna be safe" is better then saying "I tried to kill him by knocking his nose into his brain" or "Im going to kill you in the ring and send you to heaven to be with your dead mother"

I like Gomez and I didn't like seeing him knocked around like that. I just hope his confidence isn't too shaken up.

But don't feel too guilty, BG, I wanted to see Margarito knock Cintron completely out; like permanently. I was satisfied though to watch Margarito blow holes through him, and watch as Cintron crumpled onto the floor and not even bother to look up and watch Margarito taunting him.
