In a different thread, I stated that I felt Floyd Mayweather had a better resume/legacy than Bernard Hopkins. However, upon reflection I am not certain that this is the case (thanks a lot C-Lo). Your opinions?

Hopkins by far!! He probably has one of the best resumes in history along with all the greats like Ali, sugar ray etc Not only does he have a great resume alot of them have been at an old age.
THE SKY IS THE LIMIT NOT THE LIMIT IS THE SKY
I think BHop is not getting the full credit he deserves in some aspects. PBF may be the better fighter p4p but BHop has the convincingly better resume. BHop can be, with great argument, considered the #1p4p guy right now.
Hopkins for sure, but IMO MAyweather was consistently a better fighter, and he beat his opponents more soundly that were of the same caliber, but Hopkins has those blow outs of really good fighters that Mayweather only accomplished a few times, and not with the same caliber.
I think B-Hop is awesome, but his resume aint that great!
Best fighter he fought in his whole reign at MiddleWeight was Glen Johnson, the rest were nobodies. De La Hoya and Tito never had a chance, they are Aelter Weights fighting a guy that walks around at 175lbs. Tarver aint no hall of famer, Winky should never have fought at 170lbs. Credit for Pavlik though
I know you can pick holes in anybodies rtecord and I do think B-Hop is a great, but his record (especially his middle weight reign) doesn't bare many victories against prime fighters at their correct weight!!
His resume aint that great BigH??
All at over the age of 35yrs old when most fighter retire, i think that speaks for itself.
Kelly Pavlic @ 44yrs old. Hes older than my dad
Joe Calzaghe
Winky Wright
Antonia tarver
Jermain Taylor x2
Eastman
Oscar Dela Hoya
William Joppy
Felix Trinidad
Earilier on
Glen Johnson
Roy Jones Junior
Ive never seen so many big names on on a fighters resume
THE SKY IS THE LIMIT NOT THE LIMIT IS THE SKY
Hopkins!!! No brainer imo
Psalm 144: Blessed be the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle
I agree his record at Middleweight ain't great, but i've also noticed that when a boxer has ruled at one division for along time there record opposition wise, is never that great.
But Keith Holmes wasn't a bad fighter tall and long with a decent right jab, remember he did beat a young version of Richie Woodhall, who is considered one of Joe Calzaghe's best wins. And remember he beat Antwun Echols x2 who also beat Charles Brewer in a up and downer. Who is also considered one of Joe Calzaghe's better wins.
Bernard Hopkins
Winky Wright
Kelly Pavlik
Antonio Tarver
Keith Holmes
Simon Brown
Robert Allen x2
Glen Johnson
John David Jackson
Segundo Mercado x2
Felix Trinidad
William Joppy
Howard Eastman
Oscar De La Hoya
Im a Floyd Mayweather Jr fan and he may of won more titles at different weightclasses, but for me Bernard Hopkins clearly edges Floyd Mayweather Jr in opposition. You may say when Bernard Hopkins beat some of those fighters, there were come circumstances like moving up in weight or past there prime, but i still think Bernard Hopkins edges this argument clearly.
