Just an observation, seems to be more real and candid instead of falsely being brash.. I think Floyd's learning that once you settle in to your own people are more supportive of you

Or are poor sales making him try to appeal to people because he is desperate ?
Yeah, him having his bodyguards shoot at a guy who wished that he would lose, shows a lot of class.![]()
And before you Mayweather fans jump all over me, this is just me giving JT some ribbing, and he knows it.
I agree, he did seem more laid back. However, let's remember... there's only been one 24/7 episode so far. For all we know, HBO chose to run the footage where Floyd was most down to earth in order to show another side of him.
I do think there is one big difference though.... I think Floyd genuinely respects Marquez as a fighter, especially since Marquez spent a lot of years struggling to get recognition because he was overshadowed by Morales and Barrera. Whereas I think Floyd viewed Oscar and Ricky (rightly or wrongly) as lesser fighters who just happened to be popular with the fans and the TV networks.
He's just getting older and buisness savvy.Realizes that lame brash character overload turns fans off ...better suited for the WWE.Don't think we've seen the end of him thumping his chest. Was this '24/7' ? Missed it
I like Floyd and deep down he is a decent guy, but I think this was a bit of a PR stunt, i have no doubt he does his charity work etc etc, but I think his team made sure HBO had that in the 24/7 show.
I dont see how Marquez wins this, I honestly think Floyd will win this easily.
I think he has gotten past all that.. No doubt his Uncle is a good trainer but deplorable human being... Floyd can move on with all that over time. Cotto has to live with that kindergarden scribble on his skin forever
Hahahahahaha!!! I really hope Cotto kicks the shiit out of you know who, Cotto earned my respect and sympathy from the handwrap incident and then showed real grit when he battled thru the cut with Clottey.
I've noticed since fighting Hatton he seems to have been making more of an effort... I wonder if he saw what Hatton had and wanted more of that or if he's just starting to realise why his PPV doesn't do as well as it could.
Watching him try to raise his profile with WWe and the way he's been acting on 24/7 so far definetly make me think so.
Still seems real brash to me. Bragging about his home ("it's all paid..."), rolling dice with wads of cash with his family, still being connected to crimes. Nothing seems to have changed with Mayweather at all. So he was filmed giving food to homeless. Not very sincere. He basically was throwing it at the homeless like you throw food at animals at the zoo. Marquez was/is much more humble and real to me.
I'm guessin he bought a life coach. It's all the rage. Paid them with a stack of benjamins right in tha face.
You think.
I'll admit, I don't care for the scorpion tat. One is of his kids names, don't see what's wrong with that. One is a rosary, again, I don't have a problem with that. One is just a small design on the back of his neck, again, doesn't bother me. Chinese symbol on head, hey, at least it's not like Legion's Jack in the box one.![]()
And quite frankly, I would love the chance to trace that tribal that wraps around his leg, up his hip, and over his abs and chest with my tongue.
Don't see how that could be a bad thing.
Plus, those could be removed, or covered up, if he so choses.
