    Default Haye v Valuev PPV.

I have just finished watching the fight , and it was a stinker.
The PPV package which SKY put together was a joke , the overall fight bill was a joke also.
Back to the fight , countless times Haye didn't throw a single punch for over 90 seconds into a round , i found this very frustrating indeed , Valuev also showed what a 1 dimensional fighter he is. I know Haye claims he injured his right hand , which explains why he was so reluctant to actually fight.
I personally thought it was a hard fight to score , and at the end really didn't think that Haye would get the nod.
Yes Haye will be more exciting in the future , and yes the difference in size made it difficult for Haye to hit Valuev , but i cannot remember paying PPV for such a CRAPPY show as bad as this one.
I also would be interested in the Haye fans view , on fights with Wlad and Vitali , after seeing this performance.

    SKY THIS IS FOR YOU

    Thoughts please guys.

I agree mate fucking shite show, I mean surely sky could of put a decent english card on the show aswell fucking money robbing bastards, I reckon though this did great numbers I know loads and loads of casual fans who were purchasing this quite suprising that.

The fight itself I was suprsied Haye won really but in reality he did the better work, I hope he was telling the truth about his hand because he was awful with his attacks should of thrown way more punches and possibly would of had him out of there if he did.

But it was a mature performance by Haye and I think overall he deserved the nod 95% of the time Valuev was either hitting air or gloves.

I think Haye has slim chances but slim. I think the jabs of the two borthers will be to much to handle for Haye and he will eventully be broken up and knocked out, I think he needs a couple of fights first though.

A horrible fight - Valuev is absolutely sh1te and if he was normal size would not be a top 100 Heavyweight. I still think Haye is poop, but based more on Valuev punching thin air all night than anything Haye did, I had it 115-113 for Haye.

Amazed he got the nod though!

Haye deserved the nod. It wasn't the prettiest of fights, but we are watching boxing not strictly come dancing. Haye hit Valuev...valuev missed Haye 90% of the time so can't win the boxing match. Haye landed, Valuev didn't...end of.

Valuev is the better person at coming forward and missing...Haye is the better fighter by dodging and hitting...Haye won.

Fighters say it all the time but I do suspect that the hand injury was legit, he hit valuev in I think the second round on the forhead, valuev's head didn't move, bone is harder than concrete, at the time I was thinking more along the lines of "how is haye going to hurt valuev (which he did, once he managed to get a shot around valuev's guard that wasn't deflected by his shoulders) if he can't get the leverage to move his head" but with hind site that alone was very likely to damage his hand, which would explain the lack of output.

Other than not being as active as he would of probably liked himself I don't think Haye can be faulted too much.

Am I the only one that thinks Valuev was not hurt in the 12th, he just slipped

Go back and watch the replay, Haye taps him with a left that hardly connects and Valuev slips and then shakes his head. I definitely don't think he was hurt

Opposite to you all, I've been lucky as I've seen it for free, thanks to Deutsch 1 T.V for broadcasting it and thanks to Luxembourg allowing me french, german and Belgium channels.
The fight was of a boringness that could kill even those who are excited by looking at paint dry; Haye was as active as my grandmother when she's knitting but very accurate (gotta give him that) and Valuev was quite active but slow as a 10 wheels going backward and sluggish and unaccurate. The giant Freak lost... I don't care much, I dislike both fighters, I would have only like Valuev to win to shut Haye's big mouth off once and for all.
So now, we'll have the right to a boring fest II with Haye vs Jab and Grab, hopefully the winner will finally take one of the two Klitschko in a slow way to the unification.

    Boring fest 2?

You honestly think Haye if fought Ruiz would fight the same fight against a guy actully smaller in height in reach not a fucking chance.

Haye would take the fight to Ruiz from the first bell.

Agreed, people will now happily forget just how much the size is a factor here.

When you can't even punch around a guy's guard because his shoulders are stopping you from hitting the top of his head then don't expect a guy to throw barrages of punches when there simply isn't a shot there.

He didn't seem all that hurt to me either. A little trip and immediately grinning as if to say "yeah, right!".

It was an atrocious fight and Haye is very lucky to get out of there with the win. There was no sense of urgency about him whatsover which was worrying.

Against either Klitschko he would fall well behind as they would just build up the points by simply doing more than him.

Maybe the hand really was a factor, but if not then this is no a good sign for Haye. Others have performed better against Valuev than that, including an ancient Holyfield.
