I was really fortunate to see my favorite fighter Floyd Mayweather have one of his best fights against Marquez, he truly displayed how brilliant of a fighter his. I was also really privileged to watch Pacquiao-Cotto live, the crowd was electric and Pacquiao put on a performance for the ages, defying the odds.
However, neither of these fights can come close to measuring up to the anticipation this fight is building up within me. Watching this fight feels like as if I am going to Mayweather-De La Hoya. I've watched more hours of these two fight in the past 3 months then I can count, and I really intrigued to see how they will measure up. I think this may be Mayweather's toughest challenge, I can see him outboxing MOsley, but I think the difference between what Mosley brings to the table and what Pacquiao does is that I've never seen Mosley quit even when he was hurt by Vernon Forrest or when Wright was getting the better of him, you still saw Mosley go balls out. I could see Pacquiao getting hesitant if Mayweather figures him out in the middle rounds ala Marquez, and I think the difference in speed(between Marquez and PBF) would be too much for Pacquiao to rally against late. Mosley is much bigger and stronger than Pacquiao and in the same league speed wise. More importantly Mosley can really pound you to the body which is probably the best place to go against Floyd.
Anyways, I want to see how diverse Floyd's skills really are at the top level, and I hope Mosley can force Floyd to be his best, unfortunately on the offensive side we haven't really seen the best Floyd since he was at 140, but I hope he can fight a little more like that against Shane and give the fans what they are looking for, I mean FLoyd is a really tough guy who apparently has the capacity for all out gym wars.
Either way I am off to bed, I have to wake up in 3 hours. Enjoy the fight everyone!!!
