Default Is the Pacman heading for a fall?

Since his decision to stay with Top Rank, there have been rumours that Manny took $$$ from GBP,there is going to be litigation on the subject,Roach is pre occupied with Oscar and was not even asked about Manny's next fight and neither Roach nor anyone else has even seen this Solis guy in action(AND he has good KO power),Freddy said Manny should not have taken the fight and Manny has been thinking about politics ANNNNNNNND Roach's number 2,who will be traning Manny for this fight has said that he has not heard from Manny even though Manny was supposed to report for training a few days ago!! PHEW!!

So are these ominous signs? Is Manny, like many a great exciting punchers, heading for a fall? With politics, movies, lack of training, and fighting an unknown guy and havingly seemingly made the wrong choice in staying with Top Rank,is the Pacman on the slide? Hit me with your thoughts people.

Not just yet hes safe for a little while longer - just until he gets it on with Barrera again and then hes in trouble.

Thats presuming MAB can get past JMM which I don't think he can and if MAB/GBP are willing to negotiate with Arum. That's a big ask. I actually think he beats MAB again,I think he beats him quite easily at this stage in their careers. I'd be cheering for MAB though¬!

Yup, that's exactly how I've been feeling the last couple of months - very disappointed too. If he doesn't train seriously for his next fight, as it is usually with his tune-ups, I think it'll be better for him to get himself knocked down once so he can come to his senses. Or else, maybe he will be in for a 'violent demise' in his boxing career, and with that, the pacfan himself too in 'his' (I almost forgot, it's me) 'forum career' as a pac defender.

CC back bro. I don't understand why manny decided to stay with Top Rank. And I heard ALOT of people were angry/unhappy that he was thinking of pursuing a career in politivs. What is the guy doing? Fwock the singing, acting, politics, cockfighting and stick to what you know best....how to fight! Train in the way that only you can and fight the best. I was not too excited about a Chi fight but ut was 10 times better than this fight!! If Manny does not do something,he is going to slip out of the P4P rankings too because there is going to be so much going on in the top 10 this year.

Article I just read entitled: Concern Over Pacquiao's Sparring Partners

There is growing concern at the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles over Manny Pacquiao’s delay in reporting for workouts

His sparring is with guys called Jesar Ancajas and Aaron Melgarejo.Ancajas had lost 15 fights and won 14 with 2 draws and 7 knockouts and had lost his last two fights by KO. His wins were against guys like Allan Inguito 4-14-3, Bennie Entrata 3-4, Monte Carlos 0-3 and Makoto Saito 3-7. Melgarejo has a record of 9-5-1 with 3 KO’s lost his last fight while the latest addition to the roster of sparring partners Arniel Tinampay has lost his last four fights.

    WTF is Manny doing?!

Yeah I agree with that. This kind of opponent is unlikely to be able to take advantage like Marco would. It will be justice if a fully focused Barrera meets an ill prepared Pac to even the score .

Sollis has a decent K.o rate but that isnt enough to beat a boxing superstar in his peak years . If Pac has any trouble early on , it should act as a wake up call . He may even get wobbled or get dropped but given his character I think once he is in a fight he'll be able to pull it out the bag .He'd comeback strong , let his shots go in bunches and Sollis wont stick around.

Well.... Not sure on that BUT, It is strange that as of late the talks about Pac have been divorce, child out of wedlock, that girl that filed a law suit against him, Politics, TV/Media, Management Issues..... I mean everything but boxing....

If Pac can manage to continue to reign supreme in his div. I think it's great for him and boxing itself I mean people from allover the world like the guy and he along with some other little guys like Marquez (both), Vasquez, Arce, De Leon, Kameda, Vic and others are making enough noise and moving the spotlight towards them a bit more.....

We had all this before the Larios fight, the Morales III fight seriously I wouldn't worry one bit.

It's different here though. Roach is not in his corner, his trusted confident, and Manny is really late for training! Also I just found this:

    http://www.fightnews.com/fightnews_2...pVeMcsYxe.html

    Pacquiao eyes congress seat!

It's green and go for Manny Pacquiao's plan to run as congressman in his home province of South Cotabato on May 14. "There's nor turning back for me," said Pacquiao on Monday morning

If that's not a distraction, what is! PLus alll the other things going on too. Valero, get him in the ring,he's not focussed, you could KO him!!!

Seriously though, even though Manny has the beat the shat out of my 3 faves,he is still a fighter I greatly respect for his attitude, his desire and his willingness to fight EVERYONE plus almsot every fight is exciting. I really really hope he can pull his act together because he is till only 28,why throw away the boxing career? Fwock politics for now, that will always be there.

you could never count barrera out but then again, barrera just got older since his fight with pac and pac just added more experience and bulked up his arsenal. still a fight to see
