For six rounds against Mike McCallum, Watson landed 1,000% more leading head punches than his opponent - one of the best fighters, pound-for-pound, of his era - before ring rust set in. I had defeated boxing's most dangerous puncher in Nigel Benn with my gloves held together at stomach height, a seemingly impossible task.
