Default Why do we keep awarding bad judges with more fights?

Jerry Roth and Duane ford everytime i hear those names I know something shady can happen.. and This dates back years not just because of tonight. Even though Roth had it for Pacquaio 113-115 is bullshit. I'm not a Pacquiao fan I was rooting for Tim but robbing a fighter out of a hard earned victory is not cool.

Let's start with Jerry Roth, he first caught my eye when he robbed De la hoya vs Trinidad .. One of the judges I cant recall if it was Jerry or the other one that gave it to Tito scored the last round for Oscar... THE last round where he ran and didnt throw punches... my guess to even the scores a bit.

Second fight with Mr Jerry Roth he scored the first Mayweather vs Castillo fight 115-111 ... 4 round to Mayweather.. Most boxing fans feel Mayweather lost this fight...

Now this was was pretty damn bad Brandon Rios vs Abril... Roth had the fight 116-112 for Brandon Rios!!! This was in 2012 why the fuck reward him with the biggest (or 2nd biggest) fight in the same year after he fucked up! This is why boxing is the way it is a laughing sport because we keep rewarding the judges after major fuck ups. We need to penalize, suspend, demote to smaller fights whatever to send a message that we wont take kindly to bad decisions or corruption.

The list honestly goes for Jerry Roth many, many more bad fights but you guys should know by now... Sadly we'll most likely keep watching him get the big fights over and over

Duane ford also has a large track of bad calls too many to name .. Too lazy to write them down but im sure boxing heads have also noticed why havent the commission or people that hire them noticed? .... or have they

The Roth saga goes back many years. There was Roth, Chuck Giampa, and a third guy (I cannot remember his name)...whenever they judged a fight together, you knew something weird would happen.
Incidentally, I thought 115-113 Pacquiao was fair, though I had it 116-112.

I can't remember who it was but I remember this came up a few months ago about the judges being hired/paid by the promoter or them having a big part in their selection. I actually didn't know this and thought it to be a huge conflict of interests to judge a fight for your "boss" where his fighter is involved.

I think most judges can probably be swayed but maybe Jerry is the "go-to" guy for robberies..

I noticed that the judges had judged over 300 title fights between them though. That's a lot of experience.

Judges should get reputations, like some refs do. The cards should be public information as soon as the fight finishes. They should then be reviewed and anything really odd, like one judge scoring a round for a fighter, when no one else does because he clearly lossed.

Judges play arguably a more important role than a ref, yet the quality and screening seems so weak.

Just re-watched HBO's Legendary Nights DLH/Trinidad and yeah, Jerry Roth scored 3 of the first 4 rounds to Trinidad.
Bob Logist scored the last round for DLH.

    Roth had Manny winning 115-113.
