Not a bad card, but I think that it'd be better if Berto & Thurman were fighting. I think maybe they're doing this to set up a future fight between them.

Thurman fights Diego Chaves who is Interim WBA Welterweight Champion. Chaves was close to getting the Malignaggi fight before Broner stepped up. I assume they're giving Berto the Soto-Karass fight as he's been inactive and it'll give him an opportunity to shake off the rust. Gary Russell Jr.'s opponent has yet to be announced.
