They can be a boxer, a promoter, a trainer or an organization as long as they were or are in boxing. Could be a boxing judge, a referee, an announcer or someone who called fights or calls fights.
These heroes don't have to be the best or even have a name everyone is sure to know. Could be someone you read about.
Here are a few of mine:
    Jack Johnson
    Archie Moore
    Rocky Marciano
    Aileen Lebell Eaton
    Gaspar 'El Indio' Ortega
    Carmen Basilio
    George Foreman
    Marcos Maidana lol

I always admired the way Richard Steele kept on showing why he was arguably the finest referee of all time despite the booing.

Booing that most just did because they heard others doing it, not realizing the reason was some of the boxing fancy lost a bet on Chavez/TaylorI. I did too, but never blamed Steele...

Steele was always in some major controversial fights... but would someone else have done different?

Tyson was my hero - read the history of the heavyweight division and was amazed that I had a great in my era that I could follow.
