i have to admit i like margaritos style of fighting, its exciting, you cant deny that, id rather watch him fight than a lot of other top boxers

and i dont particularly dislike him for the loaded gloves thing

there are many boxers who cheat and i dont see loaded gloves as any worse than steriods

roy jones, james toney, holyfield, etc etc

and these fighters are still loved and fondly remembered and still loved

was the downturn in roy jones carear because he went up to heavyweight and back down? or was it that he was caught roiding? whats the difference between the way roy jones cheated to become the best boxer on the planet and the way margarito cheated?

Im not down on cheaters or anything i just dont differenciate one from another

Margarito may represent Mexico but he was actually born in Torrance California.. Where i live.. One reason why i feel the connection.. I also know Robert Garcia's nephew Pelos so i used to frequently visit the Oxnard Gym and let me tell you, Margarito is one of the realest individuals out there.. A man's man..

I became of fan of this guy after watching him almost kill 6Head Lewis but what really opened my eyes was his short documentary leading up to the first Cintron fight.. This guy has been with his girl from the beginning of his career but even after success, he stuck by her... Most guys in his position would have cheated on their wives or straight up dumped them but not Margarito.. He kept it 100%.... To me, that shows character, how loyal he can be.. He aint no fake ass nice guy like Pacman who have kids out of wetlock with all his other shady activities behind the scene.. fuck that.

Besides all that, I just admire his style.. A guy like him was never blessed with natural talents so he had to earn his the hard way, the old school way.. He had to work harder than his foes to even up with them, dude just had to run that extra mile.. Guys who actually box would really understand how hard it is to be in Margi's shoes.. He's all about tenacity and guy has to take more punishment just for the victory... unlike guys who are blessed with shitload of talents.. Margarito is the epitome of a blue-collared fighter and he should be an inspiration to everybody..

So he's made one mistake.. so fuckin what.. he's only human, is that ok?

This is a credit society and one fuck up doesnt mean that your whole credit goes down the drain.. He's always been known as a standup guy who never badmouthed anybody and if somebody deserves a benefit of a doubt, it's him.. He has good credit..

I remember everyone loved this guy up until the mosley fight, but now that he's had one fuck up, ya wanna paint him as the devil? gtfo shit happens, we pay for it, and move on..

Eric made a good point.. There are other dudes like Toney and shitload of other guys who got caught for cheating yet i dont see many people throwing them under the bus.. Margarito attempted to cheat against Mosley but guess what?? Mosley is the same dude who cheated against Delahoya and he still looked shitty!! Taking steroids or loading gloves are the same shit.. Are there different levels of cheating? cheating is cheating, period..

Only seen a few of his fights and he is exciting. on the loaded wraps yeah it's shit but people fuck up everyday, Cotto lucky to be ok which is good. Marg deserves to come again.

I dont think his eye will hold up long enough to make for a long grueling FOTY type fight.. It could turn out to be a great fight but a short one..

The Ricans will praise him to the fullest of course and it's understandable but the unbias fans should give him partial credit..
