    Default speed

Heres a thing you can try, Stand on your good leg with the other of the floor in balance. Then shut your eyes, what happens next is the primory reason for you not improving your speed, understanding it is the key.

I call it the Oral principal of balance, every thing I try reverts back to it. Keep getting some amazing results. Wonder if theres anybody out there, whos working in the same field.

scrap could describe it till he's got carpal tunnel, but that only one who'll understand his post is him.

we're better off asking him to post a vid on youtube. scrap, go do it.

Are you saying we should have good balance before we get up with speed?

That does make sense, cause if you think about it when you try to throw a long combination, whether your sparring or just on the heavybag, it is easy to become off balance and lose your fluid motion. I never really thought about it that way but it does make sense.

Actually it shows, our balance isnt to good because off our eyes. The motorization of the body is affected by the eyes ears and mouth and neck posture and the inabiltey of the two eyes seeing the same.

What Scrap's on about is called proprioception - the ability of the body to know where it is without using your normal senses. It's basically a feedback mechanism from sensory nerves mostly in the ligaments and tendons. It contributes greatly to balance, agility and efficiency of movement.

If you want to move fast with good muscle memory try eliminating the other senses.

No its not md , this is something a lot different, its more about feel and understanding it in active movement in relationship to oral perception

Not being very literet, I might have spelt it wrong, oral is above the neck ,skull and senses there in and their inability to send the right information of touch and feel when in the wrong position or posture to the rest of the body because of out lying forces[ gravity] . the big problem is the eyes, and the ways to overcome the problem whether it be by changing the centre of most resistance feel or go blind touch. the leg I bet you wish you could.
