Some of these "so-called conversions" to Islam by high-profile athletes are a joke. It's also disrespectful to those who take these matters seriously.

Ali was one of the first high-profile athletes to do it, and IMO at least tried to follow the teachings and respect the doctrine. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was another one.
