The very best of luck my man! Il CC ya now and also right after ya win k
Don't be nervous, the worst thing that can happen is a loss and that will only happen if u get nervous!!!
Ur bound to be in against a guy in the exact same situation, (he'll be nervous too!) So if u chill out and be cool that gives u an edge! Jab is gonna be crucial so jus remain calm and let it pop.

You won't be so nervous once you give him a nice punch in the face.Originally Posted by TyBuff

Here's something I want you to think of before you step though those ropes. It's "Hammer Time..."
Nah-na-na-Nah, Can't touch this...
I won't say good luck, but you owe me a coke if you lose.![]()
If you hear a voice within you saying that I am not a painter, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.
I remember reading about when Rocky Marciano was in cornerman in a fight. The guy he was assisting was just like you, nervous. So in a sense of humor Rocky says to the kid, "Just hit him 'em the potatoe and you'll ruin him." And what did you know he did just that, and felt good doing so. A sense of humor humor goes a long way.![]()

Sometime before the fight.. Even the night before,,, try zoning out for a while listening to your favourite music.
If your into rap music, that would be cool to listen to for an hour on your own in the morning of the fight.. Just do some shadowboxing.. Get into your zone, get your rhythm early on in the day and try to hold it all the way up to the fight.. bounce around the house and keep the pep in your step as you say... I think that works better for earlier fights than just simply trying to forget it the fight and then it all hits you like a tonne of sh!t when you see the ring in front of you..
and good luck!!!! kick sum ass!
I'll save the CC for your victory bragpost Saturday night!

Thanks for the comments and suggestions, I cced you for it. I finally got a good nights sleep last night and was able to relax a little bit yesterday. At the gym yesterday we went through some light sparring and that helped settle me down.

You got this one man, no worries.....let us know how it goes down.
All the best,

For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
Thats great man...No doubt ul be nervous 2mro just before it but thats ok as long as u use that nervous energy properly. Im nervous every time myself! when u meet the guy at a weigh in or whatever don't focus on intimidation, like Chris N said, all smiles, thats really unnerving! How u feeling now?

Just to update you guys, I lost by decision. Before the fightI was extremely calm, which surprised me. I connected with the better punches but would get smothered after throwing the 1-2 and wasnt able to follow up very well. I received a standing 8 at one point, which didnt help me out to much. He connected with a right hand that made my left eye go blurry for a couple of seconds, then when he rushed in I ducked and held on and the ref gave an 8 count. But all in all I wasnt dissappointed. He threw more and was able to win it on that. Just got to get back in the gym and work on my combos so they flow easier and keep my distance better.
Thanks for all of the support and cc's to everyone.

If you can relax, fight a good fight and see what you can do better then you have winner written all over you.
Being able to be cool before your first fight, that's really something special. Walking out of the ring with plans of what you're gonna work on is going to put you in the right direction. Good luck and keep working hard.
