He really timed him throughout the fight. And won. looked like his arms were longer than williams.

Yes I was shocked when they posted the tale of the tape and he only was 1/2" shorter.

    Great fight.

Brilliant performance by Quintana. He showed the class of a fighter he is and a huge heart!!! What I don't understand is Lederman scoring, how he could give round 11 to Williams, not counting some other disagreements I had with him. I believe he thought that the judges were giving the fight to the big name rather to the real winer. I had the fight 116 - 112 for Quintana.

Quintana we will look forward to receive you at the island, congratulations!!!

Well there is now a blue print to beat Williams, and honestly unless he improves his defense DRAMATICALLY he's going to be a flash in the pan fighter.

It would serve Paul Williams better to have a more conventional style and not waste so many punches and give his opponents so many counter opportunities. Also if Paul sat down on his punches he's bound to KO somebody!

Williams should look to Tommy Hearns' style to be more effective....I know, I know...Manny Steward is not the solution to everything but if you look at the fighters he has had success training you would see the similarities. Hearns, McClellan, Lewis, Wladimir, Milton McCrory, Cintron....they are all tall for their weight classes and offensive fighters

I think you are right there. Williams could have bombed him if he sat on those lefts.

...also if you look at Hearns, Lewis, and Wladimir...when they throw their right crosses they knew they were going to make contact, the same with the jab and the hook. There is something to be said about percentage of punches landed...Floyd Mayweather Jr can tell you that

Yes and he throws punches like a little girl...he spaghetti arms his punches they are not straight, crisp, and clean.....if he did that I assure you his defense would be a lot better.

A defensive fighter like Quintana is tough for a head hunter like Williams and when you're tall you tend to only look to hit the head...Williams needed to use the jab, let Quintana counter and catch him with a counter of his own.

A defensive fighter like Quintana is tough for a head hunter like Williams and when you're tall you tend to only look to hit the head and that plays into the hands of the defensive fighter...Williams needed to get behind the jab and work off of it but we all saw him taking risks and jumping in to try and KO Quintana or land combos before he established the jab.

Lederman is losing it. If he continues to decline, he'll be on a par with Big Al Bernstein.

Quintana deserved to win. I am not sure why the referee seemed to be warning Quintana so often. I was afraid he was going to penalize Quintana for allowing Williams to hold him all night long.

After getting blown out by Cotto, Quintana could not afford another loss. I said he would put up a great performance and he did. Credit to Quintana and Violent D

All I have to say is I'm glad I didn't get the opportunity to bet on it or I would have lost.
