I've decided to keep my mouth shut for now. But why?? I've noted that thereare some not so nice 'coincidence' in this fight, and being somewhat superstitious, I'm somewhat disturbed by them (actually, I have some good theories on superstition, or more precisely, coincidence). The biggest ones are these:

1. Their first fight was sunday before the election (monday), and as unsettled the result of that election was, so were the result of that fight.

2. After the loss to Erik in the first fight, the first most controversial issue, the Hello Garci case, almost toppled Ate Glo from her seat of power. That fight was Palm Sunday 2005, a Catholic holiday.

Now this is the scary part. Again, Ate Glo is in her most delicate stage of her presidency with the GTE issue continuing to hound her wobbly administration. Now, this fight is again on Palm Sunday!!!

(For the non-pinoys, if you're curious, ask other pinoys for the details of these events, as I'm not in mood of explaining them.)

Will Manny survive this one?! I'm not so sure. As good as I may be analyzing boxing, I'm not so sure what affect those coincidences will have on similar future events - sometimes they follow the same pattern, but sometimes not - so I can't say for sure. As a boxing analyst, I'm still sticking with the analysis I made on this fight, but the big problem is, when something happens, it just happens and the heck with the odds, the analyses and what not. So fellow pac-fans, Bruce, Julius, Pacstraight and all, keep your fingers crossed and don't believe in any stupid superstition, but at the same time don't be overconfident and too brash... In the meantime, pacfan will be in semi-hibernation in his lair. I've invited Violent D. to spent several nights with me there, but I'm still waiting for his reply.

Its very hard to argue back then. Back in the days when you post that pac has any kind of chance in beating MAB or Morales you're fuckin Nuthugger to the max and dont know anything about boxing.

I like your observations though. But they're just coincidence.

I also don't believe in superstitions. If Manny wins, he will win because he's the better fighter. If he loses, then it means MArquez is better. That's it and no superstitions attached.


So go on hibernating Pacfan and you may have a hard time sharing with our happiness (if Pacquaio wins) or sorrow(if he loses)..hehehe.

I've had the opp. to hang out with Allan.
He's a cool kat and laughing all the time one smart dude and always a pleasure to speak with.

He and Will.i.am used to hang out a lot in East L.A. Will.i.am lived in the apartment complex that was next to the the apartment complex I grew up in. They would always be on the go...

I got mad love for B.E.P. their video "Where is the love" was shot in that apartment complex that will.i.am grew up in. 2 of my cousins come out in the video. On the day of the video the B.E.P. asked all the kids that wanted to be in the video to take some permission slips and have them signed by their parents giving them the OK to come out in the video.
My fav. part of that is the 'Che' painting that's been in that apartment complex since I was a little kid it reads "WE ARE NOT THE MINORITY" as 'Che' is pointing his finger.
