I was always interested in intimidation and how it works.
I would say Cotto, Pavlik and Miranda.

i'd say anyone who has devastating power.. like Pavlik/Miranda as already stating..
determining feared fighters i'd say comes down to two different aspects.. they're either a hard as hell hitter.. or they have a chin of iron and have decent power..
when you think of it.. no one is afraid to fight Calzaghe because he isn't a power puncher.. no one is afraid to fight Mayweather, plenty of people want to fight him.. he is not an overly power fighter, even though he has spurts of high power with his accurate shots.. No one is afraid of Malignaggi even though he's lightning fast and a good boxer..
If you feel that you can exploit a weakness in an opponent without getting hurt too bad, then you probably won't be intimidated, as opposed to fighting a Pavlik or Miranda when you know they're just gonna stand in front of you and dish out a beating until they're floored and can't get up.
Nonito Donaire. He's been calling out 112-115 top dogs for a while now, but they keep turning him down.
I'd say anyone who says they aren't scared of Wladimir Klitschko is a fucking liar.
I bet Peter isn't
I'd say that anyone would fear getting hit by Klitschko, but knowing that he's been knocked down plenty before, if i was a heavyweight with a lot of power i'd be willing to take a stab at it knowing that i'd have a chance to knock him out..
Pavlik on the other hand, has been knocked down before and every time he got right back up from what i've seen.. especially that flurry by JT in their first fight.. Same with Miranda.. he took a lot of shots from Pavlik and still wanted to fight back.. When you have a fighter on the other side of the ring who is going to try to knock you out, before they get knocked out, then there is intimidation.. When you have Klitschko throwing jabs and afraid to throw a right at you, and you know he doesn't wanna brawl, then there is always hope.
Here's a qualifier to my previous statement:
"Anyone who says they aren't afraid of Wladimir is either a damn liar OR one dumb son of a bitch"
I would guess Sam Peter is either lying or just stupid motherfucker
Yeah those "jabs" are just meaningless and never hurt anyone....you might want to ask Lamon Brewster's opinion on that. You don't have to BRAWL to be a feared fighter...the guys has the exact same record as Mike Tyson and you're telling me no one fears himHe's a lot different of a fighter but the same KO percentage the same amount of wins and he's got PLENTY of power and he uses it effectively UNLIKE Sam Peter who is just a big dumb brute in the ring....and I don't mean to insult Sam Peter's intelligence as a person but his intelligence in the ring and there is a big difference.

You really think Sultan is scared of Klitschko after he just got paddy caked for 12 rounds? Or Peter? Or Haye? I don't think Haye is scared one bit to be honest.

In recent times, there's been one with the official title and it was the boogeyman Margaburrito. Ask Vargas,Mayorga,Floyd,Judah etc etc.Since then Williams was "feared" too(yeah scared of getting slapped to death, although he is a good fighter,he's nothing scary) and Clottey, the only reason people are scared of him is because he whines too much.
The fighters of today that really are intimidating are Cotto and Pavlik. Murderous punchers in different way.Intense. Cotto has scary staredown. Daisuke Naito is scary too,his style especially.
I thought that was Margarito?
I'm not sure I could say Klitschko or Cotto because the way I see it, I would step into the ring with Cotto if it meant cashing a 6 figure check at the end of one night's work. This is a little different for champions but for a challenger, I don't think a challenger should ever be scared of a champion.
Cotto is a pretty though. So is Israel Vazquez and Mike Tyson in his early days has to take the cake of any fighter I've ever seen.
