Goddam that is ugly but to be fair I've woken up with worse.
Did you actually watch her shed her skin?
My garter snake used to shed his but I never saw him do it.
One time he actually shed it and the shed skin had the head eating the tail
Not sure if that's normal![]()
No, she shed late last night or early this morning. I was going to take pics of the whole process; very creepy but cool. It's normal for the skin to wrap back in itself, as they inch forward and in a circle to peel it off; takes about 20 minutes if they are hydrated properly and the humidity is good. I always worry about the shed, as if it doesn't all come off it turns leathery, then I haave to get my hands on them and peel it off. Blondie always has great sheds.
Actually staring at the shed skin makes my skin crawl and I feel a bit sick.
Interestingly I get exactly the same feeling if I stare at broccoli or the underside of a mushroom.
I can't explain it but something about the little honeycomb style appearance just grosses me out.
Look at this brocolli
All the little stems are just disgusting
And the underside of mushrooms are even worse, one of the most disgusting sites in the whole of nature
You can't look at that pic and tell me it doesn't send shivers down you
For some reason your snake shed skin reminds me of that![]()
A-haaaaa!! I knew you were an imposterBilbo Baggins not liking mushrooms? I knew you were Smeagol this whole time
Seriously, I don't eat mushrooms or brocoli, yuk; but I don't creep out on them. You're stranger than I am Smeagol. Now go pick your nose elsewhere![]()
