    Default Oscar vs PBF II

I am guessing the fight has been signed looks like it will be on Sep. 20 in the junior middleweight's again. According to ESPN schedule

I'll pity another batch of 2 million PPV buyers getting robbed again watching a boring circus fight of Oscar vs. Fraud ...

the return of Audley Harrison is more attractive.

I also don't know why people tend to bash the first fight...I mean in the end it was a quite entertaining fight...

I guess it's not exciting for some unless one or both fighters leave in a bloody pulp.

Watch this one do HALF the PPV sale as the first.

Casual fans didn't enjoy the first one, and boxing fans aren't looking forward to the second.

No way I am contributing a cent to this fight!

The problem with this high dollar event being a chess match is that this will be the most watched boxing event of the year, and in many cases probably be the only boxing that some casual fans will see all year.
And while some of us here on the board can appreciate a good tactical bout, the general public can't. IMO this will hurt the sport as a whole more than help, sure ODLH and PBF can pad their off-shore accounts a little more, but it will definately turn off a lot of casual fans. Looking at the bigger picture at boxing as a whole I want it to do better in the publics eye and there are fights that could bring in a swarm of new fans, that would stick around to see more fights. This isn't one of those.

I only hope that the undercard has something stellar, I look forward to seeing how these two adapt after being in the ring together before there are adjustments both of them can make, but I feel I am in a small minority here, nothing new for me though.

That is EXACTLY my sentiments with this fight. It's not that I don't care to see these two fight again, hell anytime you have two fighters in the ring with as much ability between them as these two, I'll gladly watch with interest. It's just that they doll so much hype into the fight, that the casual fan expects some great action, and then don't even really know what to look for when the bell rings. It's the kind of fight that is guarenteed to attract a lot of new viewers, but almost as much guarenteed not to win them over.

I think after Oscar's Forbes fight, this upcoming bout has even less interest. (Although that might be discrediting Stevie Forbes slightly)

To most people it's a given that Floyd is gonna run through him again like a hot knife through butter so fans are getting impatient..especially with Cotto vs Mayweather being such a mouth-watering prospective match up! Bring that fight on already!

PIss on the casual fan. The kind that thinks ODLH is a top 10 fighter. I know if I pay 50 or 60 bucks for any kind of entertainment I do a little research on it. And last year do you know what anyone with an ounce of investigation in them would have found out, "the real thrill is going to be in Vasquez/Marquez.......and its FREE." So fuck the pansy ass ESPN loving bastards.

If you didn't find Mayweather-Oscar I a good fight, then you have something up your ass, if you think Mayweather hasn't proven himself then you have something up your ass, and if you think Mayweather-Cotto will be so much better than OScar-FLoyd then once again you have something up your ass. Cotto is a great fighter, but so is Oscar.
