Default how do you rate your nations olympic boxing prospects??

We have quite a strong outfit going over to beijing this year with 8 fighters.

Frankie gavin at lightweight is probably the best prospect, talented lightweight that should medal in a tough division (just like in pro), gold may just be asking a bit too much but he should definetly be able to make at least a bronze.

Heavyweight david price is another real hope for glory, super heavyweight following in the footsteps of A-farce, again gold will probably be out of his reach but a real chance to medal in a weight category that seems pretty open from the outset.

Billy joe saunders is another decent prospect that can definetely medal if he turns up and puts in a couple of great performances.

After that you really would be hoping more than anything else

I am really looking forward to seeing how Rau'Shee Warren (In Blue) does

Also Luis Yanez should be holding a medal when all is said and done.

Russia has a super strong combatent in Tichtchenko, he should be gold without a doubt.

The Arroyo brothers are legit, I've liked what I've seen from both of them.

Of course Warren is our best chance at a medal, but I also really like Gary Russell Jr. especially if there is no Guillermo Rigondeaux. Also Demetrius Andrade has been on an absolute tear winning gold at the World Amateur Championships last year and not ever being threatened really.

If I'm not mistaken (which I usually am mistaken)

I think the US has 9 entrants, only missing out on Super Heavy.

Sadly i rarely (if ever) hear anything about the canadian team.

Maybe Youngblood will have some info when he comes back. Or if anyone else knows anything, let me know.
