Default Has Manfredo's showing and seemingly new hunger changed any minds?

Although he beat a limited guy, McCrary is also pretty tough. I was actually pretty impressed and figured it would last well into the 7th.

I was just wondering if the seemingly hungry Manfredo who seemed to loss interest after Calzaghe has changed any minds on whether or not he can take a valid shot at a belt.

IMHO a good showing in a Bika fight would be the berometer as I'm not sold after this win, although somwhat impressive.

He's calling out Bika and I think by the way he looked in the McCrary fight and Bika's style it could be pretty interesting.

I think Bika would kick the shit out of him personally

It's quite the possibility. Bika is a throwing machine and when he catches you(which he will) you better be able to maintain.

.....POB, you're a sad sad man. At least the fighters I like are actually good

Manfredo is limited, he seems to have skill at times and then he seems to lack heart or the balls to stand and fight. He just can't seem to get it all together on one night.

    Sergio Mora ruined him

    Lol, F**k you, Lyle...

    I do agree, though.

He can't put it all together in one night.

i saw the fight POB and was equally impressed..

with that said, i still, and will always be until proven wrong, in the "believe it when i see it" mind set with manfredo.. he had his chances, and he blew it both times.. Now he realizes the chances that he had, and seems hungry, but i still don't think he has what it takes at this point to become a top contender..

If he was fighting 160, i'd say maybe.. if he was able to go below 160 he'd have an even better shot, but i just don't see it happening at 168.. He does not have any exceptional defensive skills, and he takes a lot of short punches on the inside.. He has decent power but at 168 it is nothing to brag about.. No doubt the guy has skill, he just has the wrong style and is too small for this weight class, plain and simple.

Oh, I entirely agree... I don't think he'd be able to do anything at 160. 154 he could but not 160. Guys like Sturm and Abraham would cut him to ribbons... Less dept at 154.

I also agree that he's not exceptional in any one area. He is a decent all around fighter who shows flashes of good things but as Lyle so elequently stated he can't put it all together in one night, sadly.

He puts on one more showing like he did against Lacy or Calzaghe in front of an international audience and he may as well stay in RI.

I agree, if he'd managed to stay at 154, or even 160, he could've been a much more accomplished fighter. He was never going to be elite, but I think he would've been much better served at the lower weights.
