Default Bunce claims Mayorga won 9 of the 12 rounds against Mosely

I always said it was a close fight but Buncy thinks Mayorga was well on his way to a decisive win before being ko'd.

I think this shows once and for all that it WAS a very close fight and open to interperatation.

I think it was a 50/50 fight going into the final round, but fair play to Mosely, he took it out of the judges hands.

HBO's commentary was fucking dreadful though, talk about home fighter bias

Apparently neither does sending a man to a neutral corner after he knocks his opponent down.

It was a close fight, Mayorga put up a very good showing.

Mosley pulled that out right from the edge. Even if Mayorga had survived the round that round would have been the sealer for Mosley. Mayorga gave Mosely a very tough time.

    Thats all true.

    BUT

Mayorga haters, which is most fight fans in general, will just say "Mayorga got knocked the fuck out again! Cus he's a bum."

And thats what they're sayin already.

    Fuck that.

Don't waste your time listening to the keyboard warriors. Their opinions are generally not worth the time of day.

Mayorga put up a performance against Mosley, that up until the end of the 11th, was almost as good as Cottos was. Of course, Mayorga faltered and what happened in the 12th happened. But Mayorga showed once again that he isnt a bum, and though not always aesthetically pleasing, he can box and put on a show. No shame in that.

Well since the fight had only 11 judged rounds, he is saying Mayorga was up 9 - 2. I have a hard time seeing how anyone could have given that many rounds to Mayorga. Throwing punches should not win you a round, but the more effective punching should. Bunce seems to be crediting just work, not effective work. It was definately a close fight, and honestly that's the best I've seen Mayorga look since the Forrest fights of yesteryear, Mayorga won rounds, a close amount no doubt, but no way you can say Mosley only won 2 rounds.

I had Mayorga ahead by definitely a couple of rounds but I wasn't exactly sober and was eating a meal during the fight.

Yeah I agree completely, I just wanted to demonstrate that it was a very close fight, contrary to the opinion of some on here who thought that you had to know nothing about boxing to have Mayorga level with Mosely going into the 12th round, and secondly, I just wanted to stir some shit

Bunce must have been going by Jim Watt's scoring.. i thought that was slightly off.. it was about even going into the 12th.

This guy hasn't got a clue about boxing end of, Ricardo Mayorga missed most of his punches. And Mosley countered Mayorga all night long after the 4th round.

I really just can't see how anybody had Mayorga winning, throwing alot of punches while missing majority of them doesn't win you fights. Nor does ineffective pressure.

And even when Mayorga landed they wern't effective punches, because he wasn't throwing them with good technique.

Mosley landed effective/cleaner punches, and he landed a whole lot more punches overall and with better accuracy than Mayorga did. I had it 7-4 for Mosley, i thought it was close in the middle rounds then Mosley pulled away in the later rounds.

From all the talk about this fight, I agree with ICE completely. I just don't see anyone having Mayorga ahead either.

Havent seen much of Bunce really, I thought he had a pretty good take on some things and seemed to have sense but he gets incredibly irritating FAST, at least to me. Then last week he told Carl Froch that he thought Pascal was a tougher opponent than Jermain Taylor or Lacy, and now he had Mayorga winning 9 rounds().. It was absolutely a close fight that had swing rounds depending on what you liked, but there's no way in hell Mosley only won 2 of 11 rounds, that is just way off.

How people interpet various rounds can be all over the board, i didn't see it that way but i guess i kinda understand those who do, I think a lot of people are looking at how unimpressive shane was before the ko more than how mayorga was actually winning rounds, his wild style is hard to judge at times and can make opponets look bad, i'm actually glad there was a ko or we would never have a clear winner.
