He was an idol to Ray Robinson, I believe I read that they fought once before. It must be sad day to fight one of your idols.
If you hear a voice within you saying that I am not a painter, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.
He was most famous for holding three titles at one time(Featherweight, lightweight and welterweight). And this was when there was ONLY 8 weight divisions and 1 title per division.
Imagine that today, that would be equivalent to holding The Ring Magazine Championship in six weight division.
i know about henry armstrong, i always look at the top three G.O.A.Ts as follow:
Ali: in the heavy division.
Robinson: in the middle division.
Henry: in the lower division.
I just never heard henry be called hank. Anyways the real point is Max finally give some credit to pac![]()
I have heard only people refer to him as "Hank" now and again...Mostly older fans who were around when Henry was a more common name and most knew Hank was the nickname for it...(Though not sure exactly how that came about)........
Hank Aaron is usually the more known Hank in sports at least here in the states...Personally I get thrown myself for a second when they call Henry Hank..
Hell I just confused myself with this explanation![]()

Once in awhile, get outside in fresh air, take a deep breath & with a deep sigh, let out all the things that's bottled up inside you & be free, & you'll get a glimpse of nirvana.
Yea i heard that, that is impressive. Who were the champs he beat in those fights? Would be interesting to know. Back then though every champ was damn tough, you had to be really.
Who won chris?
