Default USA thump Mexico in 2010 World Cup Qualifying!

Michael Bradley one of the future stars of American soccer played a brilliant game scoring 2 goals vs Mexico.

I wanted to see more of the young STARS of our national team (such as Jozy Altidore) but as usual was denied. Even with Mexico down a man we didn't throw everyone at the goal and we didn't go for the kill early enough but never the less it was a good game and we won handily.

P.S., I heard that Svenn is out as coach of Mexico after that loss...but I might be wrong

elated with the win but we need more focus. Mexico should have had 1-2 goals easy...Curious if Adu will make the team?

Here's the team I would use:

Strikers: Clint Dempsey & Jozy Altidore

    CAM: Landon Donovan

RM: Sacha Kljestan LM: Demarcus Beasley

    DM: Michael Bradley

RB: Steve Cherundolo LB: Heath Pearce
CB: Oguchi Onyewu CB: Carlos Bocanegra

Reserves: Freddy Adu (CAM/LM), Maurice Edu (DM), Marvell Wynn (DB), Brad Guzan (GK), Eddie Johnson (ST)

......but that's just me. I want to see the younger guys start carrying their weight so they gain experience.

I might throw in Benny Feilhaber, Dax McCarty, or Danny Szetela in reserve positions on occasion as well

Pretty boring game and it seems that Mexico is actually getting worst before they get any better.
You can't show with a team that's only practiced once before and think you can beat a team who have been playing for about 4 yrs. now and keep getting stronger and stronger.

Mexico looked like a schoolyard team no idea behind their passing every pass was a long ball pass just up to the top hoping the forwards would slip one by and score.

Dos Santos played a shitty game, Neri Castillo the star player pulled a muscle and Rafa Marquez the stupid cunt got red carded for kicking the keeper.

The US should have gone for the kill IMO, and sent out a message that they are there to beat the shit out of their opponents. Weather the instructions were to hold back OR the US just couldn't finish is to be seen.

Italy got man handled by Brazil...

What a sweet as goal by Robinho that was.
Rookie mistake by "Twinkle Toes" Pirlo there losing the ball.
He had 3 players on him and just left them tangled and not even Gigi could stop the shot.

Who do you support Mick in games between your two countries?

ABSOLUTELY! I want the US to go into each match thinking "we're going to score more goals than the other team" and not "we're going to defend and lay back until a chance comes to us"......you have to make your own chances.

The problem with going for the kill in this game is that Mexico doesn't like us.....their goalie tried to tackle Eddie Johnson a few years back, Marquez tried to spike the goalie, and you just don't want the game to get out of hand
