Default Philippines-5 Mexico-1 in Boxing World Cup

The Philippines won the World Cup, but Mexico closed the show with fireworks.

Congrats to both teams! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas! Viva Mexico!

yea it was suppose to be a sweep but De Leon close it with vegences.

I knew Rey Bautista was not ready for Daniel Ponce Deleon. RB traded punches with DPDL which I though it was the last thing he would do.

A sweep would have been sweet for team Philippines.

So what's next Oscar?... Mexico vs Puerto Rico?

He's only 21. Still way young and will learn from his mistakes.

its okay if he traded punches with ponce cause he has power in both hands but he did not moved his head at all. making him an easy target for ponce's looping heavy hands.

Well, a lot of people predicted an early KO win by DeLeon.

It's not the end of the road for RB. One of currently p4p best Manny Pacquiao also got KTFO (twice!) in his early career.

Don't think anyone cares, but the local guy, Gonzalez KO'd Polanco in the first. Polanco was a fatty, looked like he shoulda been a welterweight, not a MW, but he brought it till he got caught and KO'd. I was there rinside LIVE and it was bad ass. All the Filipino fighters on the under card, Gorres, Banal, Domingo, came by and greeted the fans and talked with them and signed autographs. It was bad ass. They gave Domingo all six rounds, I thought he won, but not by THAT much.

God bless rey hes a great guy, great little fighter, But weve seen him be chinny a bit before in lesser fights and he just wasnt ready for ponce last night..

It hurt but its the reason i went for ponce in the pred contest..Got me some points though
