#1 If they had different trainers in the game which ones would you want to be in there?
#2 What attributes would they help your fighter with?
#3 What styles would they help the most?

The trainers I would have in the game and what styles/attributes they would help with are:
Emmanuel Steward - Style: Boxer/Puncher Attributes: Power/Stamina
Freddy Roach - Style: Boxer/Puncher Attributes: Speed/Power
Ronnie Shields - Style: Counterpuncher Attributes: Chin/Defense
Kevin Rooney - Style: Inside Fighter Attributes: Speed/Power
Enzo Calzaghe - Style: Unorthodox Attributes: Speed/Stamina
Lou Duva: - Style: Standard Boxer Attributes: Heart
I was thinking of Eddie Futch as well, some classic trainers like Ray Arcel, Cus D'Mato, and Sandy Saddler would be great and Al Certo even.
If there was more depth in the game, it would be neat if the trainers were more perceptive and dictated training according to their fighters needs. For instance Eddie Futch using a slip rope to work on Frazier's head movement in preparation for Ali. They could work various punching mitt drill working on particular combinations, counters/responses, etc. In working with a fighter for many fights it would be interesting if the fighter improved as well, more polished punching, fast and clever counter punches, and better conditioning. Bringing in the in all of the Coaches' unique mannerisms would give the game a lot more emotional depth. Angelo Dundee would then be fun to listen to if someone your opponent is winning. It'd also be neat if they could give you dynamic advice while you're fighting, tell you how to counter, etc., and not the canned "coody-catcher-inspired" advice in between rounds.
I heard that power is much more specific in this game so it would be interesting if they helped work on developing your weaker punches, and that in effect would increase power on your left/right side.
I'd like to see a lot of old time coaches in the game. It'd be awesome if you could make cabs for trainers, and be able to program them. This would be worth pitching to the designeds for ideas for FNR5.
If you hear a voice within you saying that I am not a painter, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.
