Jones Dominates Lacy!!!

Before the fight Jeff Lacy complained about having the wrong gloves on so it delayed the bout for about 20 minutes trying to get Lacy's everlast gloves. But once the fight started from round one Roy Jones prove age isn't anything but a number and dominated Lacy and at the end of the tenth round Lacy's corner stopped the fight. Roy say now he's know as Captain Hook stating the he has the best hook in boxing.

Man, im so happy, I just came home and hopped on the computer expecting to see that Lacy had beat an old Roy, but Im so happy i was wrong and Jones won in what sounds like impressive fasion.

I dont know what happened out here in Australia with the promotion of the fight but they would have ran at a loss i think.

They wanted 50 bucks to view this as we usually get all the bigger fights for $40.

Also they sort of made out in the pre fight adverts it was Green and Jones starring and were pumping up both with the inevitable showdown mentioned last of all , no mention of who they were fighting tonight until the close of the advert. A Sham directed at fans not in the know.

That's good news for Roy. I'm glad to hear it, I'll watch the fight later today.
It's just too bad for Jeff Lacy. Inevitably it was going to result in a sad ending for one them. Jeff should retire now.

Jones was very impressive, i wouldn't go as far as to say he is 'back', but certainly his speed was exceptional,truly exceptional,a 2001ish jones. Also he seems to have the old swagger back. For his part, Lacy looked awful, he is absolutely spent, he was even more ponderous than usual, and fought even more than usual in straight lines (if thats possible). He was always a fighter that had no plan B, the trouble is his plan A is now ineffective. However he did show some heart, the fight could easily have been stopped earlier.

Roy hasn't looked bad lately in general, even against Calzaghe before the cut it was very competitive. Roy was landing the harder, and far cleaner punches while Calzaghe was insuing pressure and good body work.

Gee that seems a bit harsh he has fought some good fighters. I watched this one and enjoyed it. Lacy as already mentioned only had one plan and couldn't adjust. I was VERY surprised at RJJ'S speed in this fight it was unexpected. He was up to his old tricks which was fun to watch.
