    Default Rafael on Margarito's license

Boxing insiders say 'no' to Margarito licensing - ESPN

Quite frankly, I agree with everything Rafael says here. I can't believe that Arum would stick by Margarito like this. That guy should be out of boxing forever.

Let's say he injured Cotto so bad he never fought again? Or killed him? Boxing is a life and death game.

That kind of thing is permanent.

This prick's ban should be too. He should think himself lucky to be given a cab drivers license.

I agree. He did his little punishment time. Time to move on. Mosley was on PEDs and all that crap. And he's still fighting. Hell using PEDs to be faster and stronger in a sport where inflicting physical punishment on another guy is pretty bad too. I don't see anyone here having any outrage.

So, you guys were in favour of a one year ban for Luis Resto??

What the fukk are you talking about? He was punished (and rightly so) for his attempt prior to the Mosley fight. And he served his punishment. Why should he be punished for beating Cotto's ass? There was no cheating involved. Nevada does a better job in monitoring fighters than California. He was also cleared of any wrong doing.

I respect your opinion if you think he served his punishment. But that SI article clear Margarito of anything. All Kizer said was that you can't prove a negative and he is as certain as he can be Margarito didn't do anything wrong in the Cotto fight. Remember Mosley passed all steroid tests in his fights so is he cleared too? But just being honest. Even if you can get past the fact that he did such a disgusting act. Do you really think Margarito should be given a license to fight even though he still says he did nothing wrong? After doing such a thing doesn't that bother you?

Well you all know that I agree. He deserves to be banned for life.

His action that night, could have caused a lifetime of brain damage, or even death. Therefore his sentence should be a lifetime ban.

He disrespected life, and this sport, to it's highest level, and he doesn't deserve the right to earn another cent off of it.

Yeah, Margarito is a disgusting fighter to me. I can not stand him and I will never watch him fight again. I will give him zero support and I hope everybody boycotts him. That was a despicable act and should come with a lifetime ban.
