I agree. He did his little punishment time. Time to move on. Mosley was on PEDs and all that crap. And he's still fighting. Hell using PEDs to be faster and stronger in a sport where inflicting physical punishment on another guy is pretty bad too. I don't see anyone here having any outrage.
So, you guys were in favour of a one year ban for Luis Resto??

What the fukk are you talking about? He was punished (and rightly so) for his attempt prior to the Mosley fight. And he served his punishment. Why should he be punished for beating Cotto's ass? There was no cheating involved. Nevada does a better job in monitoring fighters than California. He was also cleared of any wrong doing.

I respect your opinion if you think he served his punishment. But that SI article clear Margarito of anything. All Kizer said was that you can't prove a negative and he is as certain as he can be Margarito didn't do anything wrong in the Cotto fight. Remember Mosley passed all steroid tests in his fights so is he cleared too? But just being honest. Even if you can get past the fact that he did such a disgusting act. Do you really think Margarito should be given a license to fight even though he still says he did nothing wrong? After doing such a thing doesn't that bother you?

Does that not go both ways? I mean i have yet to see any proof that he cheated against Cotto. I know Cotto was the favorite going in. And he has his loyal fan base. So it's easy for them to blame it on cheating. But lets be realistic. Cotto took 237 power punches in that fight. From a naturally bigger man. Can that not be the reason he lost? Everything else has been speculation and accusations. Yeah I'm sure what Kizer is really doing is covering his own ass. But it don't change the fact that Nevada crushes California in fights held. So it's easy to see how they would do a better job at monitoring hand wraps than California.
LEwis and Resto banned for life. MArgarito only a year? Why? Because he didn't have time to legally bring his illegal weapons to the ring before he get caught? Nonsense. He's as guilty as Resto and Lewis and only one year sentence is a piece of candy for what he committed.
Also, there is a difference between steroids and brass knuckle, steroids (*aims Moseley*) should definitely be punished too but to a lesser degree: Being hit with brass knuckles or with a guy faster and stronger than ordinary? I chose without hesitation the later.
I will never pay anymore for a card with Hands of plaster on it by conviction, no matter if Willie Pep or any other of my favorite would fight as main event.

That's the way it is, not the way it ends
Hey, only MargaCHEATO and his slimey trainers know if he cheated against Cotto or not. But as fans, and as cognitive beings, we can make up out own minds. And I believe the average, intelligent fan realizes that a guy wouldn't bust his ass for 15 years fighting on smaller cards for "decent" pay days, finally establish his name so that he was a marquee fighter capable of making big money, THEN suddenly start cheating. That makes no sense.
Why would Margacheato and his camp risk his career at this point by cheating in such a HUGE marquee fight? The answer is simple: Because they thought they could get away with it. Why would they think they could get away with it? The same reason why these guys who get busted for performance enhancing drugs think they can get away with it: because they've gotten away with it in the past.
You show me someone who truely believes Margacheato has never cheated before the Mosley fight, and I'll show you a numbskull.
