    Default Fat-burning Tea

Found this from an article I pulled from men's health I think.

According to a recent study men burned more fat when they took s green tea supplement than when they took a caffeine pill or placebo. If you drink it iced, four glasses a day can burn more than a kilogram (3 pounds) a year because it takes 30 calories of body head to warm the tea to 37oc. As for honey, go easy; studies show that sweeter drinks may stimulate your appetite.

To prepare 3 litres(5 pints) of tea:
Bring 3 litres of water to the boil and then add 4 green tea bags. After a few minutes, stir in 2 tbsp of honey. Brew for an hour, remove the tea bags and chill. One glass of tea has 3 calories, 0 g protein, 1g carbohydrates, 0g fat and 0g fibre. It is nice served with fresh mint.

I've been drinking green tea with mint, cranberry and apple and pear from Twinings fro the past couple weeks.

On it's own it's horrible I think, really sharp, grassy taste. But flavoured it's actually quite nice. I am happy to drink 5 cups a day and genuinely fancy it as much as normal tea with milk now.

Not sure if it's helping me lose weight, but it's nice to think that every little helps.

Drinking tea with milk completely negates the antioxidant properties. All the polyphenols bind with calcium and aren't bioavailable. There's my tea input.

HerbaLife has a green tea concentrate that they market as a fat-burner and as an energy supplement. As a weight loss aid they recommend drinking two quarts per day, which I think would be about the same as shooting speed into your eyeballs because one 8oz glass keeps me here typing away for far too long.
