Default Who wants Mosley to win this weekend?

I can think of nothing greater than for Mosley to shock the entire world by knocking out Manny Pacquiao. What better way could there be to knock Osama Bin Laden off of the front pages? It would be epic.

I have always loved Shane Mosley. He comes across as one of the warmest guys in boxing and has given us so many great performances over the years, but what better way to cap it all than by knocking out Manny Pacquaio? The prospect is bewildering. It's like coming face to face with aliens or meeting Jesus at the bus stop. To stop Manny Pac at this stage would surely dwarf those things.

You have to respect Manny Pac, but there is only one person that I want to see win this weekend. Can it happen? I don't know, the odds makers say no. But stranger things have happened.

    War Mosley!!!!!!!!!

So who else is in the underdogs corner wishing for highly improbable things?

It sure would be a nice upset but I think as well that it might blow any chances to maybe, just maybe, see PAcquiao-Mayweather someday.

True, but waiting for Pacquiao/Mayweather is like waiting for godot.

I do... I like Pac but I like Mosely more... and pactards piss me off.

But what sport do you follow miles? like Eriks said... it'd do well to get the back page... let alone the front.

It wouldn't break my heart to see Mosley win, but it's not realistic to think he will, what i'm really hoping for is a fairly competitive fight, and not the one-sided beat-down from Pacquiao we're likely to see.

Just curious, what qualifies someone as a "Pactard"?

I made a couple of attempts at humour in my OP and that was one of them. I'm not known for my snazzy one liners, so I guess it goes over a lot heads.

I watched the Pac/Cotto and Pac/Margarito fights again today and it is impressive the way Pac is able to bust up faces. He is so fast and fluid that his punches don't even seem to be that hard, but obviously they are. He destroyed Hatton and is breaking orbital bones. A really weird fighter with all those angles and his footwork is something else. There are always several things happening at one time, he is great.

A Mosley 3rd round KO would likely get it up to page 42 and that is what I am quietly hoping for. My hopes are often dashed though. I would settle for a Mosley 6th round KO.

You're right (nice Beckett's allusion btw). However, I am not waiting for Pac-Mayweather, there is a tons of other potentially exciting fights. THe idea is just that if Pacman loses, the slight remaining chance that it might happen is down for good. I prefer looking somewhere else knowing that it still could happen at some point rather than to know it's quite down the drain.
